The food was excellent, the only annoying thing was, we booked with the 50% off offer, but when the brought the bill it was for the full amount. When I said something they changed it. I felt that they were trying it on.

Found the Taverna during a walk and booked for that might. So delighted we booked for my birthday meal the following night and can confidently say that had we been there another night we would have gone again. The staff couldn't do enough for you and the food was delicious.. I have no hesitation in recommending The Taverna.. Denise , West Lancs

The service was great and the Vegetarian Mezze really tasty but there was so much food that we couldn’t eat it all. The friendly waiter packaged it up for us to take home. Lovely glass of red wine and could not fault anything at all. One of just a few restaurants in the area that lets you use your Yums towards the cost of your meal. Would highly recommend this Greek restaurant.

The food was delicious and service was great. However it was 2 of our party’s birthdays and the staff brought out what we thought was a complimentary dessert with candles on which we thought was a lovely touch. Only to then realise it had been added to our bill at the end so it soured the experience somewhat!

The staff were great - very attentive. We paid to share a meat mezze and were reassured there would be enough for two. There was plenty of meat but we are Greek salad lovers and the tiny cereal bowl to share was pitiful. About three slices of cucumber, half a tomato and four small cubes of Feta.

Rushed, barely started our drinks before the meals arrived. Meals were tasty but the beef stifado was a very small portion and there was quite a bit of gristle/inedible bits. Requested Bill and it arrived with the card machine - felt like they didn't want us to take our time checking the bill and just wanted us to pay up and go. What should have been a relaxed meal ended up with us sitting down, fed and paid within an hour.

The food was outstanding, the staff were very friendly and attentive, the service was very prompt, but we did not feel at all rushed. All in all, a very enjoyable night out.
