9.5/10I go most Sundays for a roast dinner which is very good and plenty to eat. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

8/10Service was excellent and the waitress was pleasant and courteous. Food was good however, it will be advisable to serve the rice and curry separately instead of soaking the rice in the curry. The other thing is to abstain from including bacon with chicken and other preparations.

8/10The choice of food was very good, we had a good selection suited to our taste. Good value and the service was excellent.o However, it will be better to include chicken or turkey without the bacon wrap. Overall, enjoyed the afternoon.

10/10My daughter is a regular customer at The Angel and she recommended the food here is really good, and the atmosphere was chilled and the service was prompt and attentive. We will definitely be returning to enjoy the experience again soon.

8/10I booked early to avoid noise of a busy pub however my husband and myself had to endure a works party of 11 people as we was seated right next to them they were so noisy we could not hear each other speak I did complain to the waitress she said we could have asked to be moved I was not aware of that as I thought we were seated there for ease of service as the remaining restaurant was empty What was exspected to be a quiet relaxed meal turned out to be an absolute stressful annoying experience I feel when you book in party’s of that size you should seat other customers away from that area

8.5/10Fun waitress! Could do with allergens being listed on the menu, at least the common ones like gluten, dairy and nuts. It was very pleasant and even when the place filled up it was not noisy, a consideration when you use hearing aids. Will come again.

4.5/10Our experience this evening was disappointing. We had to wait nearly 2 hours to order our food and that was because I called out, I could see they were short staffed but the time for ordering and then to be served was really unacceptable. Not a single apology from any of the staff either. I won’t be returning.

10/10The food was good, as always, and the staff are very friendly and attentive. We go at least once a week and my husband pops in midweek for his lunch when I am out with girlfriends. We now consider ourselves regulars! Thank you again.

3.5/10Three of us went there for a meal , two had roasts and I had a chicken and mushroom pie. For all of us the vegetables were cold, and the beef was very bloody! - not just slightly red. My pie was acceptable but not great. The service was so slow that we had intended to have desserts but finally left without bothering. I have eaten at the Angel several times and the quality of the food is variable - this was the worst I’ve ever had though.

4/10The menu is decent enough for choice, but the cooking is really bad. Had to send a garlic bread back that turned up thoroughly burned and charred. I know that they’re not exactly chasing a Michelin Star, but there was clearly very little skill, finesse or love going into the cooking or presentation. It’s a shame really, cause the pub is nice and the staff are friendly and attentive. I just kept thinking about what Gordon Ramsay would say if he was there for an episode of Kitchen Nightmares! I would imagine that it would be quite a sweary one!
