£28 for a 30 day aged ribeye (cooked medium) which was tasteless and tough as old boots isn’t good value. The staff were OKish but very inexperienced and not knowledgeable of the menu.

Food was excellent and copious. The roast chicken was especially good with a mixture of white and brown meat. Calories on menu to help you make your choice. Service attentive. Will go again

Fantastic choice of food which was well presented, all staff were friendly and welcoming. For the experience we had it is great value for money. Inviting atmosphere and would visit again.

Our visit was very disappointing. My dish was described as a duck pizza, but had a tasteless, rather chewy base covered with vegetables, salad, too much hoisin sauce and a tiny amount of duck - NO CHEESE, NO TOMATO! The whole thing was bland and not at all enjoyable to eat. My wife ordered halloumi, but again her dish was virtually tasteless. Our guest ordered a duck salad and said she was satisfied. Our dessert, tiramisu, was again very bland. To the restaurant's credit, the atmosphere was OK and the service excellent and no charge was made for my duck 'pizza', most of which I was unable to eat. Perhaps I made a poor choice, but in a good restaurant there should be no substandard dishes on the menu - every item should be of a high quality. All in all, we had a very poor experience and are not encouraged to return.

Debby and I got a warm welcome on arrival. The food was excellent and the waitresses so friendly. Such a lovely lunch experience. We'll definitely be coming to The Apple Tree for our catch up lunches again.

Lovely food, wonderful staff, service a bit slow but quite busy in the restaurant. You keep sending me offers to book in your restaurants but I’m never able to use them - could you send a genuine offer for my next booking.

A warm welcome when we arrived, we were given a choice of table so chose one next to a window, the light was subdued and although at first the music sounded loud, it faded into the back ground. Our waiter was attentive and friendly, giving us the right time between courses. We chose the lamb which was delicious, the mint sauce was made with fresh mint. Yum. I chose the passion fruit martini cocktail, beautifully presented and so tasty. Desert was the passion fruit martini Eton mess, you could really taste the passion fruit martini. Everything was a delight. Will be going back again.

Staff were attentive without being intrusive and it was a very enjoyable lunch out. When we went to the restaurant a couple of years ago we were very disappointed with service and food but now what a difference!

Have eaten here a number of times and the service has always been excellent. Today we were incredibly disappointed. No acknowledgement when arrived, the waitress needed a bit more about her. Bare minimum service and very slow. No real personality to any of the staff, felt like they were just going through the motions! Very disappointed . All the staff need to get a sense of urgency and ability to make guest feel welcome. Restaurant speakers were way too loud where we were sitting. So could hardly hear each other. Also staff should be made aware children’s meals really should be brought to the table before the adults. Our 4 year old was really hungry and had to wait until last to get her food. Not the best experience!
