Excellent as always. Attentive staff, freshly cooked foods at the Sunday Carvary. Wonderful atmosphere even when busy.
My favourite place to go for a roast! Amazing home cooked food!
Best carvery ever !
Excellent food ..attentive staff..nice atmosphere..could not fault it!
Our second visit to The Barn was to celebrate our wedding anniversary, we both had the steak served on a lava rock it was fantastic, booked to go back again, a dining experience like know other in this area Sue & Steve
Excellent service, lovely place, food was hot and well presented
Food at The Barn was lovely and the waitress was polite and helpful. The portion sizes were very reasonable although the price of the desserts were a little high. Having said that, the homemade ice cream tasted really good.
Staff very friendly and exceptionally helpful Sunday roast was divine with a large selection of vegetables
Very pleasantly surprised. Lovely décor, quick and pleasant service and food was delicious. Really enjoyed our evening. Manager took time to come and chat to us, felt no pressure to leave even though we were the only diners left.
Great menu. Fantastic food
This was a treat from my relatives who were visiting from Italy. The Barn was very welcoming, warm and friendly. We were seated very quickly at a well laid table with lovely glassware and good cutlery - little details are very important. The menu, whilst not extensive, was sufficiently varied to cater for most palates. The starter was tasty, generously portioned and served on hot plates. The main course of home made steak & kidney pudding was truly fabulous; light suet pastry generously filled with tender and tasty meat and accompanied by well cooked fresh vegetables. The steaks were well cooked to order and desserts were again generous portions, home made and 'quirky' in a good way. Though we all had different dishes we all remarked positively on both the quality of food, quality of cooking (crispy fried food not soft & soggy!) and generosity of portions. The home made ice cream got a special mention. The staff were extremely welcoming, friendly and efficient. I will certainly be visiting this restaurant again.
Nice rustic restaurant. Probably the best food in our area. Now visited several times in last couple of years. Staff delightful and efficient. Small criticism: You are asked to order drinks before you have hardly had time to sit down.
Food was lovely and definitely come back, thank you
Generous portions. Soup starter was almost a meal in itself. Pork was served with a delicious creamy mustard sauce. My wife had the beef and couldn’t manage it all. My son had the barn burger and was full of praise. Sweets were equally sumptuous. Service was good
A stunning restaurant with excellent service and food.
Booking was straightforward. Attention at the table once and friendly without being obtrusive. Food was great and good value, very tasty. Sadly the Drinks menu was very out of date so my partner had to have her 5th choice of beer as the other 4 were no longer available. Let's hope that gets resolved soon as we are back there in a couple of weeks
Good food, excellent service, friendly polite staff. Will definitely be returning.
Excellent food, excellent service & a great venue for a evening meal out with friends & family. Very accommodating, friendly staff and good value for money. One of our favourite local restaurants.
