Set menu with quite limited choices. Beautiful presentation and good service just slightly disappointed with portions.

Staff were friendly and adhered to covid safety measures. Food was good, Highlights were the steak with the cheese and mushroom topping, and the mackerel pate. Pius the pannacotta and the chocolate mouse

The drab old exterior belies a modern smart interior decor which lives up to its 4 star billing . The temperature check and one way system in entry provide reassurance that they take Covid precautions seriously and the restaurant is bright cool and well spaced aside from the plastic flowers. The food was excellent not as British as we expected but full of flavour and very well presented . The 4 course option at £20 felt and tasted good value . The mackerel main course and chocolate moose sweet were wonderful . Parking is a bit of an issue but we found a space in nearby road . The view over the bay to St Michael's Mount adds to the enjoyment .

Good food and a good view. Really enjoyed it until after adding on a tip, the waitress with the card machine, added on an extra pound to the tip and the total I had written down on the bill. It was hard to tell the if she couldn’t read my writing or just decided to add more. I felt too uncomfortable to mention it as it sounded petty. It’s not the money - I’d already added a gratituty of more than 10% an it’s only £1. It was the feeling I was left with. It soured the experience.

The recently refurbished restaurant looks superb. Food to usual high standard and staff can’t do enough for you.

We had a fantastic vegan dinner. Everything was very tasty, fresh and so nice. The best choice for romantic dinner with nice see view.

Bouef en cote was great, Moules were good as usual.The menu accommodated my wife’s need for gluten free very well.

very nice , if i was being over critical the plates should of been warmed to keep the food hotter for longer
