Miserable weather out but a nice warm restaurant in; we were greeted with a smile by Lilly. The restaurant was quiet so we were able to sit wherever we wanted. Sadly, the Channel views were not to be today as the weather was so bad. This was compensated for by attentive service from Lilly and well cooked and presented food from the kitchen. This is our second visit and we will certainly come again.

Me and my partner went for our anniversary to Eastbourne to celebrate and take a break from the big city. Unfortunately our experience wasn't one of the greatest, I believe it was just an unfortunate event but the staff completely neglected us until I asked where our main was, after 45 minutes we were waiting. The food came up straight away after my request and it was very cold. We were late for our train, we tried to run but we couldn't catch it so we had to change our plans. I didn't feel to leave the tip and looked like the waitress wasn't happy about that, she turned her back without saying thank you or goodbye, which was very sad to see instead of owning the situation and taking the responsibility. This was our experience, I'm sure that was just one episode among thousands and they were doing their best.

The reastaurant was great. The food was very delicious. The service is excellent. The waitress was Marie,she is amazing and very-very kind!!!

Really nice food and really nice wait staff. They were accommodating to our dog and we were very happy with the portion sizes. We do recommend this pub for a cozy, relaxing meal.

Sadly a very misty day so couldn't see the views, this is obviously the pull for visitors. Food was very disappointing very bland, not overly expensive but not particularly enjoyable sadly. Got our drinks quite quickly, one of which was wrong, had to go back. Then waited quite a while for our food order to be taken, had to call the waitress back over to take our desert order. Generally a disappointing visit.

We had a fantastic meal which was great value and the staff were really lovely. Very clean and tables were well spaced out making us feel safe and helped to make a really special evening

The occasion was my 75 Birthday, I loved the location and the seating arrangement , I think it was generally agreed that the meal was very good but myself I found the veg and chips were not hot, so improvement was required there .
