10/10Food was delicious and plentiful. The staff, particularly our lovely waitress were brilliant. So helpful and smiley! Lovely setting. Lovely meal. Will definately return.

8/10Had a lovely lunch with some friends and all was good except that out starters were not very warm. We politely mentioned that to the waitress who was apologetic. The Beagle knocked £10.00 from the bill without us asking which we all thought was very commendable. Main courses were very good and piping hot.

10/10Second visit ever, and second in a month. Return visit for lunch with friends, plus a dog. Not disappointed. Dog made very welcome with treats and fresh water. Dogs restricted to bar area, possibly even a plus as it’s a quieter area but with all the same comforts. Good food and plenty of it served with a smile (and a cheeky quip or two from our waitress from last time), made us feel happy, welcomed……and stuffed!

10/10I just love going to the beagle as it is so warm and welcoming. The food is alway good. It just makes me feel so comfortable cosy. The staff are so helpful could not ask for more. I certainly have recommended it to friends and colleagues. Great place for me.

7/10Understaffed, waited nearly 40 mons for drink to arrive. Staff good, very apolagetic for the delays but more staff would have made visit enjoyable. If this is the norm will not be returning.

7/109 of us for a birthday meal. 7 meals were good but both the gammon main courses were cold. Eggs over cooked and gammon steaks were thin and over cooked. Did not complain as did not want to compromise the enjoyment of the majority. Serving staff were very good.

8.5/10Very enjoyable meal with friends in a lovely warm and welcoming restaurant. Service was great, not too quick or too slow. Adjustments to meals was no problem and the food was enjoyable. Would recommend.

10/10My wife and I were looking for a nice place to celebrate our 57th wedding anniversary, We passed the Beagle many times and decided to try it out. We weren't disappointed. The service , the food , and the ambience made for a perfect evening. We thank you.

10/10My husband and I enjoyed a Sunday Lunch at The Beagle, Ipswich. The Food was excellent and the service was excellent too. In spite of The Fork booking a table for us today The Beagle Management would not accept the Yums I have saved for this occasion. Please tell me why they will not be accepted when The Beagle is listed on your website.

7.5/10This pub is a bit off the beaten track but honestly it was better than I expected. Booked for Father's Day as our usual haunts were already fully booked. They had a set 3-course menu which had a good selection of dishes. Both the food and the service was better than expected and they even gave us our deserts in takeaway containers as we were too full! Would go there again.

8.5/10The food was absolutely lovely, however a waiter seem to be enjoying chatting to his colleagues and giggling a lot rather than noticing that we had finished our first course I would like the menu again. Again we had to wait again to get his attention again for the bill total of 25 minute wait between the courses for him to hear me calling him . In the end I caught a lovely young lady waitress and she stepped up very quickly and sorted us out very professionally. I will go there again and hopefully Ill have the young lady and not the young man serving my table.

8.5/10I was very pleasantly surprised as our last visit to the Beagle was not very good at all (I hasten to add that this was many years ago though). This time the food was good and the pub was warm and inviting. The service was very good, our waitress was friendly and polite. We will definitely be back.

6.5/10Venue and service was very good. My King Prawn stater was very bland accompanied with just a few leaves. My lamb cutlets were very tough. My partner’s mushroom starter was grossly overpriced for the simplicity of the dish (a small bowl of mushrooms with some melted cheese). It was also disappointing that a special menu offer shown on The Beagle web page was not available as this was our main reason for booking here

6/10I went with my wife and we found the food very poor, It was our first visit for over 2 years due to the lock down etc. I had the Hunters Chicken Schnitzel this was over cooked and dry with a small strip of bacon on top with a tiny amount of cheese, Very poor value! The chips were soft in the middle but not crispy on the outside how they do that when they call them triple cooked I do not know. My wife had the Sea Bass and the skin was soft and slimy not crispy like it should be, and there was no Samphire on the plate, To follow she had chocolate brownie and had the Irish Liqueur Ice Cream replaced with a sorbet and they charged me a extra 50p for this (she cannot eat cream) I think it will be another 2 years before we go back.

10/10Love The Beagle, nothing is too much trouble the staff are attentive but don’t rush you very polite and helpful. The food is gorgeous, I don’t usually eat three courses but I have to in the beagle because the food is exquisite, I come away feeling full but not bloated, relaxed and comfortable.
