10/10Great meal all round. From starters to pud. Very busy and definitely recommend booking . We’ll be booking in summer for A look at the canal and of course eating there

10/10We sat outside by the canal which was lovely. The food was excellent as was the service. We have this pub as our regular lunchtime meet-up because of the above. This was our 2nd visit and can't fault it so far. Apart from the wasps, which is not the pub's fault!!!

10/10Haven’t dined at the Black Horse for quite some time, pre-Pandemic for sure. Glad to see the excellent food and service is still as good as ever.

8.5/10Lovely meal, the hot chocolate quite weak, crumble would have been nice crunchier, blow torched for nicer effect maybe. But all in all lovely meal and waitress really helpful.

10/10This was the first time eating at the Black Horse. Table service was excellent and very accommodating. The food was delicious - I had the salmon - and it was the right proportion, very tasty. I should've trusted the chef because I add salt before tasting so was slightly salty (my own fault) but didn't ruin my experience.

We were really inpressed by the fantastic service we were given by Martin and his festive waist jacket ???? he went ubove and beyond been charming and giving us a fantastic service ! The guy who took our bill was fantastic to with an amazing welcoming big smile the lady at the bar was great to the manager should be very proud of a well run well trained staff and fabulous food I would most definitely return and recomend

7.5/10Rather over-ambitious menu-wise. Simpler fare that was perfectly cooked would be better. Lovely venue tho and pleasant attentive staff. Overall , I'd rate it 4 out of five.

8.8/10Easy to book table. Extremely warm welcome on arrival & excellent service from all the staff throughout. Sharing Camembert starter was delicious & all main meals - 2 roasts, 2 dirty burgers & a child’s mac n cheese - were delicious. Had a lovely meal & would definitely be back soon.

10/10Absolutely excellent every time we visit and this time was no different. We both went for the Sunday Roast and it did not disappoint. Staff are always so happy and friendly and nothing is too much trouble.
