10/10Staff lovely and friendly. Very attentive but not over bearing. Food lovely and great choice ( carvery) . I even managed to get grumpy chef to let me have extra Yorkshire pudding 🤤 Thank you and we will be back.

10/10I booked saying that it was my birthday and found out that Pricella had put balloons up and created a beautiful center piece for my table. That really made my experience very special. My friends and I thanked her but those words don't cover how kind and considerate Pricella was, going out of her way for me. What a great asset to your company she is.

10/10We stayed at the Lord Street Hotel which is a sister hotel to the Bold Hotel and just across the road. We booked a table and had the carvery meal. There was a good choice of vegetables and meats. The food was excellent and hot and the service was quick and efficient. Would definitely recommend

10/10I came to redeem my Yum points but The Bold at Southport didn’t know anything about them. even though I showed the staff proof. The food and service was good apart from the chef at the serving hatch questioning how many roast potatoes I wanted which was the second time he has done this, he was unprofessional and said that other people only normally have two, I said was there a problem. I was disappointed when I couldn’t redeem the Yum points due to it being my birthday meal and all staff having no knowledge about Yums.

7.5/10We had the carvery and the food was good. The ridiculously long wait just to get a ticket so we could get our food was not so good. The attitude of the person serving the food could have been better. After he cut half a slice of beef I asked for another piece to be told, "sure if you want to upgrade to a large meal", not good and not what we'd been advised when asking about the differences in the meal sizes. Our server Leanne was a little star though.

8/10All ok, until I went for the pudding, ordered Eton Mess, which was a mess, just a glass of cream with a couple of strawberries, no Meringue no summer fruits as described, basically I thought the who meal was over priced with what u got

10/10I made a mistake and thought that my meal came with chunky chips and questioned it when fried came. It was no problem, the waitress replaced the fries for me. Our trip was for my friends birthday who had never been before. We were both impressed with the service especially as it was my mistake.

8.5/10Went for daughters birthday ..husbands soup didn't come they brought his main had to ask for another drink ..my pasta was delicious. Hot out to the lovely waitress who brought a slice of cake with Happy birthday on the plate off her own back that was a lovely touch . Overall it was very busy could do with more staff but no complaints about what we ate will come again maybe in the week when not as busy though .

9/10Really enjoyed our lunch at the Bold. Staff were attentive & approachable & the surroundings lovely & very inviting. Had the carvery which was good value for money with fresh vegetables & lovely Yorkshire puddings. The only slight disappointment was the beef which was maybe a bit too rare leaving it quite stringy - both myself & my uncle left some as not able to eat it. Would definitely recommend & go again but give the beef a miss if not cooked a little more.

5.5/10The best thing about the turkey carvary was the turkey and the red cabbage peas OK, sprouts could have used as door stoppers carrots hard too. Potatoes ate much better. Not a happy customer

10/10Absolutely lovely , staff are fantastic can’t do enough for you !! We visited with 2 small dogs and a large electric wheelchair- we were seated at a lovely large table, drinks brought over to us and an amazing Sunday roast ❤️ can’t fault the place x

10/10Absolutely loved this place, Me and my partner spent one night here last Saturday as a random get away from Manchester and a change of scenery yet that wasn’t too far away, I loved how Quirky the decor was in the pub yet luxurious in the deign of the rooms, we stayed in room 23 and it was gorgeous, clean and immaculate, will definitely stay here again .

8/10Great food as usual but service has gone downhill this week.Had the car very and tried to order a sweet, eventually got the sweet menu but no chance to get one ordered by a waitress.Gave up,tried to get the bill,again very difficult,had to pay on the way out.Toilet,s no paper in the ladies and gentlemen,s urine over the cubicle floor.

9.5/10We arrived early which wasn’t a problem, the staff showed us to our table & took our drink order. They didn’t rush us to order. The food we ordered was delicious & well presented. We also had a sweet naughty but nice ????????.the staff who served us were very pleasant but I think they could have done with a couple of more staff, as we had to ask for drinks, sweets & the bill when we could see one.

8.5/10Lovely Sunday dinner again. One of our favourite places to eat on a Sunday in Southport. Felt a little sorry for the chap on his own behind the serving counter with a long queue. Not his fault though….

10/10We enjoyed a lovely afternoon, from the moment we were greeted and shown to our seats to leaving, staff were absolutely excellent, very attentive and all very polite. The food was lovely and the Strawberry Daiquiris were yummy ????

8.5/10We were shown to our table and then left. We weren't sure what to do so went to the bar to order drinks and then called over a member of staff to ask how it worked with the carvery. He gave us our ticket to go up for food. The food was delicious and excellent value for money. We ordered coffee and had to wait a little while for that. Overall we really enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back.

3/10We had booked in advance for the carvery. They had been busy and we were told they had no carvery left. We complained to the manager and although she said she was sorry she neither looked or sounded it. She informed us that they had been busy and although there was plenty of meat left they were low on veg. Plenty of meat does not mean no carvery left. Then I got an email saying we had not attended our booking and we did, though we did not eat there. Very disappointed and will not go again not as that will bother anyone cos you were busy so had made your money so our contribution won't be missed.

3.5/10we arrived and the Sunday lunch option was available but within 20 minutes the Bold was turning customers away due to running out of meat. the menu available was very poor only 3 main options. the veg was hard any undercooked. i finished my first pint and it took 10 minutes to attract a waitress. it then took 25 minutes for the pint to arrive.
