Peaceable, and comfortable. This restaurant boasts an irreplaceable location. The service is very professional and unobtrusive. I had a Bellini to drink: Prosecco and white peach which was the only thing I felt was overpriced and overly small - given that Prosecco is not an expensive drink. The main course of sea bass I ordered was perfectly cooked it was a well balanced plate: hot with good presentation. I would have appreciated a little more on my plate though. I had sticky toffee pudding which was conversely over large - but I could have this with the option of vegan ice cream, which was great. It was delicious; as was my friend’s Chocolate Pot. I really enjoyed my visit, as I have done before, and do not resent the price tag.

Everything fine from my perspective except I thought the rhubarb cheesecake was tasteless - a shame because I was looking forward to it. Friends who accompanied me didn’t rate the starter and main course as highly as me and can make their own comments.

Beautiful location, lovely interesting decor, attentive staff, excellent food. Just one comment, all ingredients should be shown for all dishes, not simply headed non dairy. And the pear William desert really should have said what the topping was, sprinkled with a topping which may have been wheat based. More information on ingredients.

We loved sitting outside in the shade. The salmon Niçoise salad was good with chips but unfortunately they came quite late. The aubergine main was very small. Quite expensive for what we had.

Nice setting, good staff, poor menu. Limited lunch menu with only 5 main options mostly vegan. One meat and one fish option. Desserts were mostly plant based. Mostly soya based products. Fortunate that the plant based ice cream was finished. Staff apologised for serving with real ice cream !!

I book table for 4 to celebrate our friend's 99th Birthday. Last time we celebrated her 96th birthday in Orangery. She liked it, ut when saw this beautiful building said - next time we'll go there. That was realy wonderful celebration. The manager has really excellent attitudes and professional skills. I am grateful for being adapted to my request and accommodated another 2 friends in last minutes. And that wonderful gesture with a teacake and lighten candle made this honorable lady absolutely delighted. Staff members absolutely great, perfect service. I love my risotto and our birthday lady really enjoyed seabas dish.. If you want to have memorable day, this is a perfect place. Thanks from all of us.

We came for my Mum's 79th birthday but we were given no special treatment for example when we have been to the Shard they have bought out a plate saying happy birthday with chocolates, just some gesture would have been nice. Also dishes do not specify if they contain alcohol and it was by chance that we realised the risotto did in fact contain alcohol!!!

A great afternoon tea with a splendid view over the lake to the Palm House. Our experience was only let down by the on-line booking system which initially only offered us a time of 1015am for afternoon tea!
