10/10Service was impeccable and food very good. A lot of effort went into making my aubergine and spinach curry tasty, interesting - and Instagram ready. The only disappointment was an apple tartin, which wasn’t…..but that was a minor blip.

Had the pleasure of dining at The Botanist for the first time yesterday, and what a lovely experience it was! The restaurant is absolutely stunning, with so much attention to detail. The food? Incredible. The cocktails? Unique and delicious. And the service was just as wonderful—warm and welcoming. Definitely a place I’ll be returning to!

7.5/10The wider team were excellent (our server and the host who sat us were really friendly and great people) but the manager who had to be called in to apply The Fork discount last night was abrasive and quite stand-offish which put a bit of a dampener on our experience. Food was fairly priced (with the discount) but I’d say overall the spot is quite expensive for what you get

6.5/10Always wanted to go but never quite found the right occasion. Clearly on a Saturday night they’re very busy and service was a bit chaotic and slow if very friendly. Food was a bit disappointing: specials weren’t that special (and very small and under seasoned). Cheese burger and oysters were great but we expected a bit better to be honest!

6.5/10The restaurant is always busy and generally has a nice atmosphere. The food is average and in our recent visit, the service was a bit slow, they seemed to be very understaffed. The wine came really late, after we'd already finished the starters, although we had asked for it much earlier. We returned the ragout dish as it really wasn't good at all, but the rest of the food was ok. The service is friendly, but as I mentioned, it's slow because they are over stretched.

4.5/10This is not the fault of the bar, but I didn’t expect it would be so noisy. We were expecting quiet cocktails with family, but it was very noisy. We were a table of 7, and were given two very small tables which wasn’t big enough, and service was very slow. The waitress was very good, but there was only one of her, with several managers around her not helping serve or take orders.

6/10The food was excellent. However the service was very poor. My friends and I had to leave our seats to chase staff up about things we had requested:- for tea, champagne, water, a starter that had not arrived whilst the rest of the party had eaten theirs. Long waits between courses. Plates cleared before everyone had finished. The manager did give us some extra food, but that’s not the point. We went to relax & chat over a tasty meal, the irritation caused by lack of staff impeded on our enjoyment of the occasion.

8/10At £104 for two mains 2 large glasses of wine and 2 americanos this wasn't cheap, but the food was delicious, the wine was good quality, the staff were unobtrusive but attentive and the ambience was perfect for a quiet lunch with a friend. Reccommended.

2.5/10Dreadful place that has clearly surrendered to complacency based on a nice location and an good reputation it had earned in years past. Service was extremely slow, we were informed that half the menu was unavailable (this was at 1PM, not like we came in an hour before closing). The food that was available was awful, bits of offal and veins in the croquettes, everything else either grossly under or overcooked and this food is not cheap. Though the worst offenders were removed from the bill we still left feeling absolutely fleeced at the cost.
