The hotel is easy to find, parking isn’t great but recommend the station parking as just a 3 minute walk. Upon entering the front desk staff are welcoming, was shown where to go for afternoon tea and then we waited 5 minutes for a member of staff to appear, and then eventually heard staff talking hidden away so we asked to be seated. The restaurant was really quiet, the gentleman that served us was lovely and really attentive. I’m guessing his shift finished whilst we were seated as we never saw him again and no one came to check on us/our food at all. The afternoon tea was ok, bog standard and overall not that impressive, not worth the £30.00 each with service charge too. To get the bill I had to find a member of staff to get the bill. Overall very standard, expected better service in a 4* hotel. Wouldn’t return and wouldn’t recommend.
Underwhelming first visit, not special in any way, sat at a peripheral table, restaurant being made up/rearranged for the evening service and definitely would not recommend it for anything special other than wandering in off the street. Staff polite enough but distracted/unsupported and it was evident that booking a table between lunch and dinner whilst possible, wasn’t well prepared for.
Fantastic meal, couldn’t fault any course, service was excellent
I am very disappointed with the service on the day, restaurant almost empty but we were not looked after. It was for my sister's birthday. She asked for a second Latte coffee and we waited 10 minutes before she received a lukewarm either it was an instant or filter coffee. We were not asked if we wanted anymore food as at most afternoon teas we have had. The view of the river was lovely from the table. My sister thought we should pay the service charge but I don't think it was justified.
Wow had a lovely afternoon the staff were great our waiter was very attentive cream tea was yum, we were lucky enough to have the lovely jazz singer all on our wedding anniversary and a lovely plate congratulating with home made sweets really recommend
Lovely location overlooking The River Thames and Eton Bridge. Very bright dinning area. Sunday lunch Carvery with jazz. Excellent service and good value for money.
We had a wonderful Prosecco Afternoon Tea for a birthday treat! Fantastic service and delicious food ??
Took my boyfriend to the hotel and booked dinner there as a birthday surprise. We absolutely loved it, bar staff were so friendly and accommodating by making drinks that weren’t on the menu for us. The food was amazing, as were the desserts and thoughtful birthday treat we had sent to the table.
Excellent service and food, our waiter was particularly helpful (I think his name was something like Benito) The music was nice but a little on the loud side which made conversation difficult at times.
The hotel was lovely as was the food - but unfortunately the customer service was not. The waiter who served us was rude and blunt.
Place looks great, service fantastic, but food is style above substantial and overpriced.
Can't speak highly enough of the waiting and bar staff, they were fantastic. Very, very kind.
Lovely dining experience, dishes are delicious and came in timely fashion while staff are simply amazing
Lovely dining experience. Staff very helpful and friendly. Couldn’t have done enough for us.
Very enjoyable evening, with my wife, celebrating our 2nd anniversary. 1 little query.....I was given the wrong bill at first, but luckily I had checked it. Mike Wilkinson
Underwhelming - disappointing- slow service .
Very nice location with very good service, great location and high wuLity food.
Food was ok, service was bad. After 33 minutes of waiting after being shown to our table, I had to ask someone to come over and take our drinks and food order (we had pre-booked afternoon tea weeks before). The place wasn't busy and there were lots of staff around. Food and drinks arrived quickly however. During our entire meal the waiting staff only came over once, and I even had to go up to the bar to pay the bill.
Great food and service with a lovely view and atmosphere.
The afternoon tea was delightful. I had a table overlooking the river and watched the swans. The eclair and tarts were very nice, but I particularly enjoyed the warm chocolate-chip scone, which went wonderfully with clotted cream.
