Lovely hotel, portions were quite small, we had ZEASTAR SHRIMP, SEAWEED AND FREGOLA PASTA (VE) £22.00 Saffron, cherry tomatos and flat leaf parsley (extremely spicy and quote bland also) SLOW ROAST BELLY OF PORK (1 x 3" size) £18.75 Crispy fried rosti potato (1 x 4") , charred tender stem, toffee apple puree, Both OK but small portioned, expected more for money.

Unfortunately we all had a very overpriced, bland soup which was nothing as described. Shame as new mums we always look forward to having a lunch out and every penny is gold. The service was a big rubbish and there where very load businessmen having a meeting nearby - which I guess is just circumstantial so not an issue as such

Nice food, good size portions, service was ok but v casual and no mention of asking how the food was, and asking plates without saying anything after eating. Needed more training for some of the staff on basic etiquette. Mainly a you lady that needed the training on just basic customer interaction. Overall kitchen better than service.

The staff were very polite and helpful but the food was disappointing primarily because it was only just warm. The soup was only just warm but tasty so we did not complain. The chicken dish was clearly a case of the fries being plated and the chicken added when it was cooked. Therefore we had hot chicken and only warm fries which quickly cooled

Lovely treat of afternoon tea with a friend! Liked being in the small, slightly screened off section rather than in the 'busyness' of the main bar area. Service was attentive but also allowed us to really take our time and enjoy. The lights did keep going on and off, hence one star knocked off for ambience! But otherwise superb and would definitely go again.

We tried to book a table for four people @. 5.30 to be told that time was fully booked but 4.30 was available. On arrival we were told the restaurant did not open until 6pm??? We ate in the noisy bar in a very hot atmosphere which spoilt our prelude to the wedding reception. The food was poor. We did complain on deaf ears. Never again will we visit. Graham Brown room 218

Good choice of food that was very tasty. Prices reasonable for restaurant so didn’t have any trouble keeping within the inclusive £28 deal. Service was a little slow, had to chase up for wine order, although staff were polite. To improve, could offer bread whilst waiting to order as took a little time to take order and then bring out starters. Plenty of tables for 2.
