On arrival there were no staff available at the restaurant or bar so we stood around for a while but once seated we were looked after well. The food was gorgeous and the ambience lovely

I lunched with girlfriends. Service was attentive and on time One of our group said her food had gone cold too quickly. I suspect the food was served on a cold plate. Please serve food on hot plates. The final bill was debited by £ 10.00 taking in the cold food complaint which was recognised. All the food was of good quality . There was a good choice of dishes and we would recommend it.

All good until we got to paying the bill. We were splitting it in 2 but not evenly. It was confused by the automatic addition of a service charge not included on the bill. Disappointing.

Hygene coffee stains around seals very dirty could do with fresh lick of paint. The glasses we were served could do with a deep clean but better idea would be to replace for new and double check they are cleaned. Menu reads well. Prices are fair Service is spot on Food was delicious so would definetley put on the to visit list. Advice book in advance it is popular with the area and has a regular senior age group dining at this establishment.

We used to love this place but I'm sorry to say the last few trips have been disappointing. The food has lost the wow factor with several items under- or over-cooked and whoever adds salt needs to calm down and relax a little. The staff are brilliant and the venue is as charming as ever, but it's the meals they serve that are letting them down.

It was a great family dinner,the food was great and so was the atmosphere ????????.We all enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back again soon. The food was quick to arrive and the prices are reasonable.The menu has a great selection.The only downside was waiting 15 mins for the bill to arrive but in saying that,the staff are friendly.

We use the Chilworth Arms regularly, however, today we were disappointed with the meals. The roast beef was inferior to what we’ve had before & most of mine in particular was gristle. One of the desserts ( chocolate bomb) didn’t dissolve & melt Ike it should because the sauce was actually cold instead of the required heat needed to melt it.

Food ordered not available.Main course of guest no bigger than my starter!!! The last time I came I had a cremated duck salad ! This is a shame as I have a Attended this restaurant for many years but the standard of food is going down rapidly.
