Excellent front of house team and a good selection of food that is clearly carefully worked through and cleverly put together. Lots of little extras thrown in for good measure but it is expensive (Michelin star prices) and I’m not sure it quite justifies them yet.

The front-of-house team was absolutely delightful, and attentive. As for the food, it was generally enjoyable, though the salmon and lobster dish, as well as the chicken dish, leaned too heavily on the salt, which overshadowed their natural flavors. Out of the five tarts we ordered, one arrived with its pastry sadly broken, which was a touch disappointing. While the overall experience was good, the price point felt slightly steep for what was served. A charming spot, but a bit of refinement in execution could elevate it further.

We were, and my guest friend is a "Vegan". So I decided to join. Being a first time eater of "Vegan" food in a Chubby is/was a new experience to me. I did not know that so many varieties of food can be made in this category. I enjoyed it and my Vegan friend said it was very good. So, I am quite happy about the whole situation, whereas one or two places in Peterborough, (although in their site mentioned as Vegan Friendly) turned us down in spite of initially taking a booking. I have been and I will be going to Chubby for many many years ( had several names though), and it has been a great place to eat. Dr.V.M

Wonderful find. Excellent lunch. All courses were flavoursome and well balanced. Very good wine at an amazing price. Didn’t have pudding as we were replete from everything else, although the selection looked delicious. Definitely recommend.

Excellent meal served by a very attentive waiter. Unfortunately we were the only 2 people in the restaurant at lunch explained by it being* half term. The only small criticism is that we would have preferred another savoury course in the five course tasting menu rather than two desserts. We will definitely be back.

What a great find. Food, service and ambience all top notch. If this restaurant doesn't get a Michelin star very soon I would be astonished. The serving staff were knowledgable on what they are servicing and made some excellent wine suggestions. It was refreshing to see a wide variety of excellent wines by the glass. The food was astonishing, as good as any one and some two star restaurants. The restaurant itself is in beautiful castor in a very old building. However inside is modern just like the food. Outstanding.

We had high expectations for fist time customers, and unfortunately it just fell short of the mark. The seating is not suitable for “Chubby people “ and unfortunately there was a large amount of shel in the Crab starter. The rest of the courses were good but we felt rushed between the bread and starters. All in all it felt a bit overpriced.
