6/10Although we had booked a table for four we seemed to have disappeared from the list and were placed at a small cramped table in an. ill-lit part of the room. The food was uninspiring and poorly laid out on the plates - the roast turkey portion was two meagre slices. The service was fine . The food was overpriced for what we received.

10/10Lovely place to eat. Staff lovely and excellent service. Food was of a very high standard. We had fish and chips and the lamb, no complaints, cooked perfectly. We highly recommend and will be returning.

10/10It was our first trip there. The staff were very attentive and the choice of food was excellent. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. The only thing that beat everything else about the evening was the food we had ordered. We simply all loved what we had chosen. From the presentation of our meals to its taste was above our expectation but it was exceptional. .We will be coming back soon and I for one can’t wait. Thank you to everyone at the church Mouse for a truly lovely evening.

9/10Our first visit since the end of lockdown and we were not disappointed. Everything contributed to an enjoyable evening, especially the excellent service provided by our waitress, Caitlin.

9/10Food and drinks very good! Service good and quick, Charlotte was very friendly. No cutlery to eat our main courses we had to ask! It’s our first visit for a while and we’ll be back soon

4.5/10The creme brûlée had no custard in it, just mushy fruit. The mash was over microwaved and had a big grey lump in it. We weren’t advised that the creme brûlée was not the traditional dessert and was cherry

8/10Lovely atmosphere, with good food and service. Table for two tend to be tucked away in corners and not everyone wants to be secluded and away for the social atmosphere.

7.5/10We have been going to the Church Mouse for food for a long time. The decor is nice and comfortable and the staff are as attentive polite and friendly as they can possibly be. We arrived at 6pm on a Sunday to be told there were a number of items, Yorkshire Puddings, Creme Brûlée no longer on the menu as they had run out. Also we were warned that the wait fir food would be 30 minutes, it ended up being 45 minutes. The food was perfectly ok, the Steak was well cooked and presented. The chips were adequate but slightly under cooked, surprisingly for triple cooked chips. Bar service was slow too and we ended up leaving without desert as the one we wanted was no longer available. Normally a good experience, the waiter / waitress was great, very friendly, I felt sad that the experience was not as it used to be ... So I guess COVID has taken it's toll ... maybe we will try again in a few months.

9/10Can’t fault all the staff. They were all friendly and helpful as far as covid rules it was excellent. The food was good and well presented. I had steak with garlic prawns. (Prawns we’re an additional cost but not as amazing as I thought they would be) Mushroom too additional cost So hence a little pricey over all. We will go again though.

5/10Although the pub itself is very nice and the customer service was good, I felt somewhat let down by the quality and quantity of food supplied for the cost which is now very very expensive. For example the bonoffi pie for dessert cost of £7 and was nothing special at all and the portions were very small. Although we have visited this pub for many many years, I would not be in a rush to hurry back.

8/10The food was fantastic, service was also quite good, however we spent most of our time swatting flies as there were quite a few of them buzzing about, even though our table was indoors!
