Had a really nice meal. Every course was excellent. The staff were friendly and professional. The early evening menu is a good deal.

The food was great but the service is so-so for a Michelin restaurant. We chose the tasting menu but the waiting time between courses is up to 45min. We spent 3:45 in the restaurant!

Incredibly disappointed with the service. Waited 20 minutes to be given a drinks menu, and a further half an hour for one of the courses despite ordering the tasting menu. In the end we skipped the main. We were often waiting 20 mins for a drink to arrive. It took so long to get through the tasting menu, that by the time we left (after skipping the main) it had been 4 hours.

Truly excellent food, a very thoughtful wine list, personal and attentive service, beautiful and historic surroundings. It was a first class experience in every way.

This was our second time here and it was absolutely amazing. The first time we came as a group of 10 and did the taster menu which was incredible and my partner and I came back for another taster menu which was just as delicious. The service is just as good as the food, all the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Would give higher than 10/10 if possible!

Lovely building and well located. It’s a bit brown and very quiet. Food actually pretty ordinary. Starter (salmon) had thin sauce and poorly seasoned. Main course (lamb rogan josh) too salty and a little dry. Desert (passion fruit brûlée) excellent. Full of flavour and perfectly constructed. V good coffee. Staff very helpful.

Divine food, just the right level of attention service wise, my happy place. Flavours were just exquisite including the cinnamon Bellini. Very few diners back at lunchtime but hope people will gain confidence and return soon.

Overview: meals fabulous - service very poor! Table for two for Valentine's evening. Always wanted to dine in the old Library close to Westminster Abbey. Arrived early, seated quickly which was fabulous. Service went downhill from there. After twenty minutes we had to ASK for the aperitif!! The amuse bouche (truffle and rice cake) just the job and having ordered the starters and main we thought, you know what: classy. Then the tandoori salmon arrived and as other guests claimed their tables, a waitress kept refilling the wine glasses from the bottle held in a wine bucket behind the bar. Once the bottle was empty we never saw her again. We ate the interim course of plantain and beetroot cake and moved on to the main course of wild prawns and tandoori monkfish feeling well-relaxed. I did appreciate that it was Valentine's and the waiter (single, not plural) wasn't too overbearing but service got slower and slower. We watched from the balcony with amusement as the table below us seated three sets of guests in the four hours we were at our table. Admittedly, the last hour was waiting for the coffee and petits fours which did not arrive. The wine was empty and, to apologise, the waiter brought us a bottle of water on the house. I nearly died of thirst!! Could we have ordered further wine and water? If we could have got the waiters attention, yes! In mitigation, and quite clearly seeing our distress, the restaurant manager halved the bill. The meals were glorious, they got more spicy with each successive course and the portions were spot on - no need for a side dish.

Really enjoyed the food however the service was poor. The restaurant was fairly empty but they didn’t seem interested. I’d still recommend for the food alone.

It was ok, not great. We have just returned from India so are judging food by domestic standards. The best description was “nice”. Not “wow”, not “meh.” Reasonably tasty but sauces odd consistency and rather bland and chicken not cooked properly. The highlight however was the kulfi which was very tasty. Comments on tripadvisor about slow service seem odd as we felt rather rushed and had to deliberately slow the service down by taking time with choices, service polite but rushed. £100++ bill for an underwhelming experience. Nice but not great and hence poor VFM.
