7.5/10I have visited for the Sunday Carvery previously & it has been very good. However, today the meat was just warm, the carrots barely warm, the cabbage was almost cold & the plates were cold. The hottest part of the meal was the gravy. The carvery meal overall was lukewarm, but we felt uncomfortable bringing it to the attention of the Maitre D as there were residents of the property on the tables surrounding our table. The desserts are always tastefully arranged & delicious. The staff are lovely & very efficient.

6.5/10Pre-arrival: Really accommodating, despite a late booking. Couldn’t do afternoon tea at short notice but did provide alternatives which were satisfactory. Arrival: Attentive waitress (Hannah) who seemed to be trying to serve and look after the entire restaurant herself inclusive of drinks, food, taking orders and clearing. Having worked in hospitality myself, this is not easy to do. Food: Excellent, really tasty, no complaints. Service: Hannah was genuinely doing as best she could but understaffed by at least one person, possibly two. Our table was left uncleared for over 30 minutes until we asked to have it cleared and provide the dessert we had ordered earlier on. Despite this, it was service with a smile and I wouldn’t want this review to reflect on Hannah in any way. It was purely down to a lack of staff. Ambience: It’s a beautiful setting, with views to behold. Would definitely return.

8.5/10Enjoyed a lovely day at The Clevedon having afternoon tea! As it was sunny we had a table on the terrace enjoying magnificent views of the valley. The surroundings were beautiful. The food was of a high standard, and good value. The only slight negative comment was people would have preferred more savoury food rather than as many cakes. The service was efficient and staff friendly. I’m sure we will visit again.

7.5/10The location was a little out of the way but otherwise fine. The restaurant was very nice and the staff attentive and friendly. Unfortunately, two of the meals ordered were not up to an acceptable standard, the liver was more like "pate" than Liver and inedible. We did accept two alternative meals and they were fine. The Restaurant Manager was very apologetic and took the cost of our drinks off the bill.

2/10I arrived at 12.45 for my pre booked afternoon tea with my wife to celebrate our 46th wedding anniversary only to be told on the desk that they had no booking, were unable to provide afternoon tea but I could have a Sunday lunch if I wanted. Not quite the same experience!!!. I politely declined and left very dissappointed. It is fare to say the online advertising is not quite the experience you expect when you get there. I am only glad that I had not arranged to meet family and friends there as it was a total shambles. Thank you for a totally awful experience and rest assured I will not be booking with you again.

6.5/10The staff (girl) was welcoming, although it was very clear she was over worked. I booked online and didn’t realised that I needed to book afternoon tea . The first choice of soup wasn’t available, the warm ham hock salad was fridge cold. My Ceasar Salad was underwhelming. Saying this the food was acceptable and together with the company made the visit better than it would have been.

10/10The premises are beautiful, the waitress was lovely and the food was gorgeous! Presented beautifully and tasted great. You can choose to have a small portion if you don’t have a big appetite, which is a really good idea. Will definitely be going again.

5.3/10The restaurant is located in an OAP residence. There was a buzz-in system to gain entry with no meet and greet personnel in the lobby. Had to find own way to the restaurant 2 floors up. Ambience was non existent - it felt more like a private members club. Menu choice was limited and first course very bland. Main course steak was okay. Didn't stay for dessert. Chalked this one down to experience and will not use again.
