9.5/10The fish curry was excellent, and we got a great recommendation from our server Coops/Cooper to try out the chicken kothu- I am so happy we followed his advice! Also the panna cotta was a perfect way to end the meal. We ended up sharing 3 meat/fish dishes, a chicken kothu, rice and panna cotta between the two of us and we were absolutely stuffed. While I’d probably order a bit less next time, I’ll definitely be coming back! Also the half price deal from the Fork Festival was a great incentive for me to finally visit The Coconut Tree (I had heard about it before but never got around to going) and also to try out dishes I normally wouldn’t have gone for (like the fish curry which turned out to be my favourite!)

6.5/10Food was good. Friendly server. Overall venue was quite lacking in ‘spark’ vs experience I had Bath venue a while back. We were also charged for a drink we didn’t have - didn’t notice until back home. £50 fork credit used (well, £43) so not too bad, but nothing to write home about.

7.5/10The Hoppas, spicy cauliflower and baked spiced cheese were our favourites. The black pork was too dry however and the vegan Kotthi was very salty so a bit of a mixed bag

8.5/10Great food, hot/spicy enough without being too much for my European palate. Service was fine, sometimes a delay in the ability to order but never bad. Ambience was was ok. There is no Sri Lanca vibe really.

Friendly staff. Helped recommend dishes from the menu. We shared the cashew curry, jackfruit wings, black pork, kotthu hopper and sticky rice. Some of guests dishes were quite spicy but well flavoured. The cashew coconut curry was delicious. I had booked with a £50 Yums discount but this was not reflected on the bill so I had to ask for it. The waitress was a little confused what they were so I had to show my booking confirmation from the Fork. It was applied in the end.

10/10The food was varied and great and so were the drinks. The waiters were very attentive and the atmosphere was lovely. Couldn’t recommend it enough. Also great for vegans and gluten free diners as there are many delicious options

Delicious Sri Lankan food! Great value for money with the Fork! We liked a lot almost everything!! The only thing was that most of the food was very spicy! For people who eat spicy food it's just great! For the rest they must keep it in mind before ordering, as we didn't know that it was soo spicy! Service was very friendly too.

6/10we weren't very impressed with the food, the goat curry was incredibly tough and inedible. The roti was good but everything else was just mediocre. not really any atmosphere. The toilets were smelly and the floor was filthy. Not somewhere we'd being going back to unfortunately

10/10The person who greeted us at Coconut Tree in Bristol Clifton Triangle tipped us off to where to park and was incredibly welcoming before explaining the entire menu (it was our first time having Sri Lankan cuisine). We ended up trying eight dishes. Everything blew out minds. Both the food and cocktails were so delicious. The service was attentive and friendly. We felt the prices were extremely reasonable and a good value. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes a casual, comfortable dining experience with adventurous delicious food at good prices!

4.5/10My recent visit was unfortunately disappointing. Despite explicitly ordering the food to be non-spicy, the dishes were so hot that my children couldn’t eat them. This was particularly frustrating as we had been looking forward to a cozy family evening. In addition to this issue with the order, there were also problems with the bill. The discount offered on the platform “The Fork” was simply forgotten. Additionally, the promised discount on drinks when ordering two of the same kind was not applied. The food itself was decent in taste, but due to the aforementioned problems, we could not enjoy the evening. I hope the restaurant pays closer attention to such special requests in the future and consistently applies the promised discounts. Until then, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

The staff were super friendly and food was amazing! It was our first time to try Sri Lanka food and we had no clue what to order and one of the staff very kindly helped us! We will definitely go back 🤤

10/10An excellent find. My husband and I love to cook and eat Sri Lankan food and we have to say the food was superb. We liked the 'tapas' concept of 3-4 dishes each as we then had such a great variety. Highly recommended.
