Great Location but the food was disappointing. Had the fish and chips which was a bit carboardy. Just not great. Not busy and plates not collected at all. Drink bottles left empty during the evening. Such a great place but attention to detail really lacking and if this is the service you get when it’s not busy then goodness knows what it would be like if it were busy

I always like to go to a place a couple of time before doing review. Both times food has been very good and staff helpful, if you wish things changed on a dish, so many places won't do this. The second time had the festive special meal which was great value finishing with a cocktail which I know seem to have made a come back but not had one for years, could be having more often now. A welcoming cosy pub plenty of room so tables not on top of each other. Have recently moved and this is only a few miles from us, so is on our list to go to regularly.

Initially very good but was then very slow and only appeared to be 3 staff. Waited 15 min for someone to appear to ask for bill. It wasnt very busy and no one behind bar. Hence a very poor tip.

Early dinner for my Mum’s 91st birthday. Steve our waiter was very attentive and catered for all our needs. He even surprised my Mum with a brownie, ice cream and a candle for hie r birthday. Such a sweet gesture. Thanks Steve Food was great

Food was good but not hot enough - just warm. This was also the case with a Sunday lunch I had with a friend there a couple of weeks ago. Apart from that is was very tasty.

Booked to have a nice family meal having checked the website for up-to-date menus. Arrived and it was a different menu meaning one thing someone specifically wanted wasn't available, two others still on the menu were also not available, then a third choice was not available but we were only told that after it had been ordered. Food was average when it came so overpriced, service was slow with us having to chase a second round of drinks which arrived after we had finished our food. The staff were polite and apologetic but we didn't bother with pudding and we won't be back. A real shame.

We had a really lovely Sunday lunch for a birthday celebration. Food was great, atmosphere was chilled and fun. Staff were super friendly, they were so busy but nothing was too much trouble. Have to mention Lauren who really made it a special occasion for us. She was brilliant!

Lovely ambience in the restaurant Tables set lovely. A range of drinks. Friendly, welcoming staff Knowledgeable about the menu Not the cheapest of restaurants, some items are expensive, i.e. fillet steak. plate not very full but was enjoyed. Different size of steak would be nice, it was too big for my mum.
