The location is fabulous. On a warm, sunny day, there's nowhere better than sitting by the canal watching the boats and wildfowl. The food is pretty good - two course lunch for under £20 is pretty good. And the service was excellent - friendly and welcoming.

I was looking for a pub meal to meet up with my daughter from uni. This pub is a hidden gem. Read the reviews first so remembered about registering the car. Greeted at the door, efficient service, quick to order drinks and food. Food was delicious. Lovely ambience throughout. It was pretty busy but tables were well spread out. Will definitely go back so can sit outside on the terraced areas.

We arrived 15 mins early but were seated straight away. The staff were polite and attentive even when we were chatting and a bit tardy in placing our order. The food was presented very nicely and was very tasty. We will not hesitate to go back.

Very nice experience. The team at the Coy Carp have it spot on - very fast, very friendly, and very good food - both burger and fish & chips were excellent. The place was really clean and tidy, which is always a plus. Very well done
