7.5/10Booking was easy. Friendly welcome. Good food selection. Ladies toilet was grubby and looked uncared for. Surface around sink was lifting because of water ingress. Bin was rushed and wall was dirty. Not a great impression.

9/10This is a lovely pub. The staff are welcoming and friendly, the ambience is congenial and relaxing, a good selection of beers and the service is great! What more can one expect?

6.5/10The cuckoo itself is a lovely venue, food was ok. Paid £24 for a rump of lamb and it was quite tuff to eat. Staff was very slow in there and it wasn't even busy. we had to keep putting our hands in the air to get their attention to clear our plates or ask for more drinks. We ordered the same drink twice, which was the berry burst summer cooler drink and the first one had some berries in and a straw but the second one had no berries and no straws. We were told they had ran out of straws and berries. once we had eaten our desserts again had to wave for them to clear our plates. We had sat for a good 30/45 mins after our food and didn't see a member of staff so we had to go to the bar to ask to pay for our meal so we could go outside in the garden for a drink. I feel the staff let our meal out down not the venue.

8/10Having read reviews and not having been for a meal for a long time, we were uncertain about the quality of evening ahead. Thankfully we had a nice evening with good food and attentive service. sadly the vegan curry wasn't available and we took the last vegan burger as an alternative - so attention to supply and demand would be an area for improvement. But the sea bass was delicious as was the mini pudding - but again, sadly no decaff coffee available. Will certainly visit again.

7.5/10Warm welcome and lovely decor. The menu looked good. The prawn cocktail was disappointing, lettuce leaves not cut up, very little sauce and the butter for bread was so cold it was unspreadable. The skin on the sea bass had no crispiness at all. The pie is not a pie, stew with filo pastry lid. The torte dessert was lovely but the crumble looked to be jam with a crunchy top. On the plus side, the brie and the chips were great as was the coffee, even the decaf.

4/10We have been to The Cuckoo several times, but todays visit was a disaster! Service was so slow. The food was at best warm when it did arrive. The bill had a 10% service charge added, however I didn't get the bill until after I had paid via the card terminal, so I ended up paying a tip and a service charge for a mediocre meal. Overall not a great experience.

6.5/10Nice ambience. Lovely waitress. Food was nice quality but not anything out of this world. Chicken pie was massive. Haddock felt like a thin, half fillet which was disappointing. We were never asked for drinks top up.

10/10We really enjoyed our meal and the setting with all the small areas was excellent. We were made to feel very welcome, our waitress was superb everything lead to a super evening with our friends. I only have one gripe and that is there was only one disabled parking space and that was taken. I had to park in the furthest most part of the car park and walk into the Inn, not easy when you find walking difficult.

4.5/10A busy pub that was understaffed when we visited. We waited over half an hour to get a drink and when the good arrived it was not up to standard. A pasta dish was returned but this took too long as the waitress was elsewhere. My eggs were dried out and other dishes looked as if they had been standing around. Did not even bother trying to get a sweet.

9/10Our waitress was fab, sat quickly, drinks order taken within 10 minutes, food order, 5 minutes later, food came out fast but was delicious and hot X Drinks came quickly, we were in and out for 2 courses each plus drink in 75 minutes, by the time we left it was packed, the staff were very efficient and handled the busy restaurant like pros.

9.5/10The staff were very welcoming, attentive and friendly. I felt like the young girl who served us was new, but only because she seemed unsure of herself, but she still did an excellent job. The food was beautiful, not overly expensive. Would recommend a would happily return myself.

8.5/10Love this pub/restaurant which has ample space for larger to smaller tables scattered in the restaurant to the bar area.. Very helpful & friendly staff members from either the waiter or at the bar. Felt very welcome on arrival and throughout each course. Nice starter to main courses & desserts. Will be returning again as I booked a table for 6 for Easter Saturday.

5.5/10I visit the cuckoo often but last week the food was not to standard, no roast dinners, queuing at the entrance for too long. Perhaps just a pressured day but just not a great meal at all and there were 9 of us

9.5/10This pub is conveniently located off the A1 so I use it to meet a friend halfway for a meal. The food is great with a good pub food menu selection. The thing that makes it for me is the staff, they are so very friendly and welcoming.

5.5/10The coffee was wishy-washy and although the staff were very friendly I had to go and get cutlery for the main course as we needed the ones on the table for our starters. We had chicken and mushroom pie for mains the sauce in the pie was very thin and watery. Very poor pudding choice. Overall we were both disappointed with our first meal out after lockdown, not going to hurry back sorry.

8.5/10Enjoyed my evening at The Cuckoo though didn"t realise when we booked that we would have to.leave after two hours. Meal at 6 and next booking was 8. Would like to have known that in advance. Food was tasty and elegantly presented though there were quite a few menu items unavailable this Saturday evening. Good ambience and very attentive service.

7/10Lovely place and great staff. My son ordered, what is described as a mountain burger. Wow, can you imagine the anticipation of a burger that cost £14 and referred to as a mountain! Let's just say it was possibly the smallest budget we had ever seen with 1 piece of lettuce and 6 chips for £14! Disappointed was not the word. We very politely advised staff of our misinterpretation of the menu to be told they know but it is a chain and they have to follow the guidelines. Such a shame . We had to go for coffees and desert at a beautiful shop in Stamford to feel like we had eaten something.

5/10First time back to the Cuckoo my friends chose to meet up. I was absolutely disgusted by my £14.95!!! Super green salad! a bag full of rocket in a bowl basically with some dressing and a few nuts and beans thrown around. I sent the dish back one as it had ONE chopped up asparagus! ONE!!! it came back and they put half on one on top! then don’t get me started on the halloumi… £3 for 3 tiny Slices! taking the piss! Was very disappointed my friend wasn’t happy with her wrap either hardly anything in it. Food is not up to scratch and not worth the money your charge! Day light robbery! sort it out!

9/10Went to the cuckoo for my wives Birthday Lunch. Wife is wheelchair bound and even though busy(Fathers Day) they were helpful in finding a table that made it able for my wife to sit at comfortably, Food , as ever was tasty and cooked to perfection. Lovely flavours and good selection on set menu. Staff helpful and friendly. Was lovely place to go out for a meal after all the lockdowns. Thoroughly recommended.

10/10First visit but certainly not our last. We all very much enjoyed our meals from presentation to taste and portion size. Nice atmosphere and felt completely safe.
