5/10They had an electricity supply problem in the kitchen which slowed down service considerably. Staff were apologetic and did their best. They waived some of their charges.

10/10“Simply fabulous! I picked The Curry Room for a celebratory dinner for 10 people, and we had a wonderful time. The ambience was opulent, the service impeccable and the food was the best Indian cuisine we’ve had in the UK. Freshest ingredients, varied flavours, beautiful presentation. We felt very well looked after, and we had the luxury of a leisurely dinner in a lovely part of town. Thank you to the Chef and Staff for making my special day even more wonderful! We’ll be back, for sure!”

10/10This was an amazing meal. Everything from the service, food and atmosphere was better than top notch. Truly a memorial meal. One of our favorites in London. Five enthusiastic stars!! We will most definitely be back.

5/10Overall this experience was disappointing. I can’t pinpoint exactly what was wrong with the vibe, but from the second we entered the hotel we were treated like we didn’t quite belong … asked several times if we had a reservation and under what name. Escorted around and passed off to other people. My teenage daughters and I dressed for a fancy dinner out after the Hamilton show. I went to the bathroom at one point and the waiter looked fearful I was ducking out on the bill. The waiter asked if we would be having dessert… yes! It’s part of the pre-fix meal! The food lacked flavor… just overall disappointing for the price tag.

4.5/10Was looking forward to a really lovely but expensive curry after reading reviews. A huge disappointment. The meat in the lamb curry was gristly and the sauce bland. The prawns were in a nice sauce but hard.

5.5/10The food here is good but not worth the amount of money they are charging for it. I booked the table through the fork app and was under the impression there was an a la carte menu…there was not. The set menu is for 2 or 3 courses and for the amount of food you get and what they are charging feels ridiculous. We decided to do the set 2 course menu and let the server know. Then, at the end of the meal he asked us what we wanted for dessert and said it was included in the set menu. We didn’t think twice about this …then when we got the bill we were charged for the 3 course set menu. When we asked, he said it was because we got dessert. I then said well, the way you presented our options led us to believe the dessert was included …which then he proceeded to say the dessert is the 3rd course????????????. Just seems like they wanted to get more money out of us and we didn’t even want dessert but had it because it was “included”. Yes, it was included…in the 3 course set menu which we didn’t order. They were very reluctant to change the bill and we had an engagement to attended so we just paid and left but I’m 350 lighter today and mad I ever went there.

3.5/10The food was terrible, beef was not at all spicy and it’s called spicy vindaloo(0/10). Butter chicken(2/10) Fish was just ok. The sweets, cheesecake was not at all good. The only good thing was the diet cola, ice cream and papad. the service was good too.

10/10Our first time to London and we knew we wanted REAL Indian food. This place blew us away. The service was excellent, everyone was so well mannered and kind. Extremely tasty food (highly recommend trying the option where you can order several different smaller portioned curries rather than only a couple large ones) and even the desserts were stellar. The date and banana pudding were to die for. Treat yourself and go here! Excellent wine as well!

8/10We have been there before and loved the experience. This time the service was far below expectation, but the food was amazing and delicious. The chef came and checked on us which was a nice touch. The lack of service from our waiter was surprising especially with our excellent experience from before. We had to ask the busboy (whom also did most of the serving) to ask the waiter for our refills of drinks two times and then when our waiter finally came had to ask him again. I hope that this review will change the service experience for the restaurant as the chef deserves better staff

7/10The service left something to be desired, they are not friendly or cordial and I'm used to the indifference of the Portuguese service… but as this is a $$$$ restaurant, logically, the minimum of kindness is expected, this is my point of view. View! The atmosphere is extremely pleasant, good background music, the food nothing special, but the service is something to forget about.

9/10Service level here is superior. Fundamentals of the 3-course Curry Room menu were very strong. Sampled three of their curries and found their fish curry to be particularly well made. Simple staples like naan and lentils were made with heart. Its tea was a bonus, sourced from a special supplier in Sri Lanka and tasted better than most tea you’d find in the city. Not surprised since they have a well-known tea room upstairs. If you want an escape from the high streets in pursuit of good food and great service. Look no further.
