The heating was not working . The fires were lit but it wasn't possible to sit near them. There were only 2 staff serving and after we sat down they were too busy to even give us a menu . We were cold and hungry . WE LEFT

Starters were good . 2 x fish and chips fish was burnt on underside overcooked , seabass was overcooked and dry. Fishcakes were just ok but still on well done side. 3 deserts were ok coffee was ok. Waiting staff were very good and helpful price of the 2 fish meals deducted. this has been one our local pub grub places for a number of years but will have to yhink long and hard before returning

Better actual standard of food than a lot of expensive restaurants, really nice, nothing pretentious, nice relaxed environment and friendly front of house, lovely location and very rustic, plus you can take dogs, didn't realise until I had gone so next time we will bring him too even better.

On the whole our experience was very good but one of our party ordered fish and chips and the batter was so overcooked the piece of fish was inedible. However when the waitress was in firmed the meal was quickly replaced and enjoyed. This would not put us off going again nobody can be 100% perfect all the time. The server we had was nice and very cheerful and sorted everything out very quickly.

The food and the service was very good, but the price of the drinks £3.15 for a very small bottle of Coca Cola and £2.95 for a bottle of water small I felt that was taking things a bit far.

Food was poor the starter was prawn and mango cocktail it was put in a soup bowl full of lettuces with a few small prawns and two pieces of mango swimming in a bowl of water. Main meal and dessert were average not worth the money will not be returning.

A warm welcome and a lovely atmosphere. Service was pleasant and not too rushed. Food nicely presented but my burger was not very warm. Still enjoyed it though. Would go again.

Although Dick Hudsons is local I haven't dined there for a few years so I booked online as my son and grandson were visiting. Very friendly atmosphere albeit a little early off the gun with the Christmas decorations but the staff were very attentative and the service was very good. Really enjoyed the food and the empty plates of my son and grandson were testament to the quality of the food. Will definitely be returning.

The food was the worst I had been served for a long time. The vegetables were hard and inedible. There were raw peppers served with the Sunday roasts which were covered with hot food and just odd. Parsnips were burnt to a crisp, beef roasted potatoes were so hard to cut you could have done with a steak knife. The absolute worst was the veggie dish. This was a giant slop of rice and another indistinguishable matter with tomato sauce on top and a medley of odd vegetables on the side. I wouldn’t have given it to my dogs never mind serving up in a pub.

Pub style restaurant in a hilltop location with stunning views. The service was good given that the restaurant was very busy. My lasagne was overdone and burnt on the base but the waiting staff replaced it and removed it from the bill . The friendly concerned staff more than made up for my bad experience so we would definitely give it another go. The views are absolutely stunning. A great location for a romantic meal or special occasion.

Utterly disgusting sandwich. Pulled ham was a desert spoon of undercooked lumps of white fat. Mature cheese sauce was a teaspoon of cheese sauce diluted with milk. Leftovers out of the bin. Makes me feel sick thinking about it ????????

Staff very polite,but our table was by the bar and the kitchen door which was noisy and very busy.After waiting 20 minutes for our dessert was told the order hadn’t gone through so we didn’t bother with it.Not really a Saturday evening dining out venue.

This restaurant is in an excellent location with far reaching views over the Aire valley - the food was excellent - a bit of a different take on standard main course favourites - my specialty chocolate flowerpot dessert was to die for ????
