5/10Food was cold , under cooked Over priced No appearance on the plate . And the waitress was a bit abrupt with her service Probably won't go back 😕

4/10Booking system OK. Arrived on time but took 40 minutes to have drinks order requested and then a further 30 minutes to place food order (lunch time). On arrival the mash potato was only just warm. Very disappointing.

10/10Superb food and lovely surroundings. So nice to be able to have a conversation whilst dining without music in the background spoiling it, we did have a bit of a wait for the food but it was well worth it. Beautifully cooked, very pleasant staff and varied menu.

4.5/10Took nearly 1 1/2 to get our food we had to order cups of tea so we could try and stay warm but even they turned up without a lids on any of the three pots of tea we had so it went cold very quickly. I was informed that the boiler was broken but would have at least expected some other form of hearing as we could not feel the heat from the fire . We got so cold we had to put our coats over our legs to try and stay warm. We were not informed when we got seated that there would be a very long delay in getting out food. Also they never came round and asked if everything was okay with our meals. All in all quite disappointing for first visit.

2/10We walked in and the staff are talking in a group we we said table for two the server Took us to the nearest table tossed two menus onto the table turn the walked away who was all too much trouble for him We stood at the table and decided we were not staying so we walked out I’ve never been treated like this in my life

10/10We used to visit the Dun Cow regularly but not been for about 10 years and were delighted to find the food and service as fabulous as it had been previously. An excellent menu well delivered with friendly helpful staff. We'll definitely be going back.

10/10This was our first visit to The Dun Cow, after driving past it weekly for the past 3 years! It really didn't disappoint. It is a lovely old village pub/restaurant, so the decor, the history, the ambience was just what appeals to us. It wasn't busy, so staff and service were excellent . We had 3 courses - very decent portions. All super tasty, well cooked and presented. We have just come back from a cruise where you get fine dining every day, this was , in my opinion, better than that! I would highly recommend this lovely restaurant and it will be our new favourite place to eat. :)

5/10The service and the ambience were good at the Dun cow however the food, once again was very poor. Good had been kept heated and then brought out dry chips and peas and rubbery rice. Not nice! Complaint was dealt with by staff well however.

10/10Meet up with friends and had a super ,meal together. Great choice and quality, with excellent service from all the staff. Will definitely come again.

6.5/10The food we received was fine with certain elements that could have been improved. We had chips with 2 of the 3 main courses and they tasted completely different. Menu was a standard Innkeepers fayre. Nice restaurant decent service on a busy Saturday.

7/10The food was exceptional absolutely no criticism whatsoever possibly the nicest Sunday lunch I’ve had in a long time. the service came with a friendly smile when it came I’m not sure what the problem was whether it was with the kitchen or with management if they’re sending out of the food but it was so slow and the staff were run ragged so obviously more resources required for less bookings.

8/10Had my favorite duo of lamb , lovely, despite returning it to be cooked for a little longer. Service was very good , met our expected requirements. We soon became aware that there was a time slot for diners, meaning that we could take advantage of the bar area after our meal. This area was pleasant , only that let down by the uncleared used glasses . I would still recommend this establishment.

10/10Had lunch at The Dun Cow. Served by Lisa, very friendly, efficient and competent. As we’re all staff Food and ambiance excellent.Will definitely go back.
