10/10We had the most delicious Christmas dinner. They had four roasted meats options, roasted salmon and probably ten vegetable dishes to choose from. There was a buffet and a member of kitchen serving meat so we could have as much or little as we asked. Perfect for teen son. They made gluten free gravy for our table.

5.5/10Place is dirty and tired, I had reserved a table but was shoved in a side room. We were basically accosted by a drunk local at the bar. Food is quite good but not the cheapest. Certainly won't be returning

4/10What is it about most eating establishments these days. There are people who do not want fast food, ie burgers, chips and so on. They are only catering for the younger generation. Let's get back to proper food, oops, this does not generate enough profit.

2/10When we walked in we were told "I don't even know how you managed to book a table we haven't joined the restaurant tonight as its quiet, you can eat if you want but it's a quiet night" We took a seat to consider our options and decided to leave. On handing the menu back the member of staff was visibly happy we were leaving.

4/10Restaurant wasn't open so had to sit in bar/lounge area. Once food ordered a basket with 3 bottles of sauces was put on our table. The tops were dirty and missing lids with hardly any sauce left in. Food very average. Won't be going back.

8.5/10I went for a Sunday carvery. 3 choices of meat and plenty of vegetable choice. Very tasty. Reasonably priced.

6/10Booked a table and walk ins were just sitting down and being served. Ended up by the kitchen in a back room which was all there was for us. Waiter was excellent and did manage to move us before we ate. Food was a mix of good bharjis and average main. Had run out of fish pie. Again, the waiter was lovely.

2/10When we arrived at this Hotel, having notionally booked a table via 'TheFork', a big and raucous wedding was in progress. We had clearly been forgotten about. The manageress or chief waitress tried to pull out and set up a table for us, but we backed out and left. They should not accept other bookings when they have such a large function going on.

7.5/10Considering it was in a hotel, the food was excellent. We went for the Indian menu. There were only six curries, two types of rice. Nan bread. Popadoms and onions bhaji’s. But they were all very very tasty. In fact they were as good as I have tasted in any restaurant. I would definitely recommend them and the Eagle Hotel/Restaurant 10/10

5/10Nice features and with character for the building. Average food and quite high prices but a relatively good portion size. Service was OK not much service with a smile or rush to serve even though not many people in the restaurant. Overall was ok but wouldn't rush back.
