We turned up at the time I booked , we were shown to a table , the restaurant was very busy due to the Labour Party conference being on at the same time , 45 minutes after our reservation time I had to seek out a member of staff to see where are afternoon tea was , it arrived 15 minutes later , I spoke with the manager who was very apologetic and offered to take 50% off the bill which was a very kind offer , but this was booked for our wedding anniversary and this put a dampener on our special day

Had to wait 40 minutes for drinks to be brought over , when food came burgers looked like they were warmed up from the day before , afternoon tea one of the sandwiches the bread was hard like it had been sitting out for a long time . All in all very disappointing and total waste of a lot of money

The staff service was good, but abit disappointed that i had said when booking stick to simple sandwiches, as fussy eater, was nit asked if i have any allergies, i think you should label sandwiches as my sister who i was with checked for fish ones as have an allergies to fish. Cakes and savoury were good, would of expected more for what was paid for.

Lovely attentive staff, fresh sandwiches and cakes with a nice selection of all. We were sat in front of a giant TV screen (fortunately with volume down) but it felt a bit empty and out on a limb. Maybe a booth might have been maybe they were all full. £29.95 for afternoon tea with prosecco. Averagely priced for city centre but still overpriced for what you actually get per person

I had high expectations of the Hilton and it didn’t disappoint. Afternoon tea for a friend’s birthday celebration, food was devine and more than enough. The way the booths are situated is brilliant, you’re not overlooked by any of the other guests, so comfortable. Really nice, pleasant staff, attentive but not too much. Would definitely go back to the Hilton again

We had gone for afternoon tea and felt like everything had been sitting our for hours..stale bread and dried out filling..only 2 of the cakes were fresh..never again..for the money you pay there are so many more nicer fresher places..toilets were absolutely filthy...teenagers from the streets in the toilets and leaving it a disgrace but manager not too bothered when told

I booked the afternoon tea at the Hilton expecting the standard of food and service to be good. We had to wait a while before we were attended to. The sandwiches weren't the best as they had added mustard and Branston pickle to quite a few of them. We did complain and they brought us a few plain sandwiches. Sent my scone back as it was stale, they did replace it. Overall not the best afternoon tea, wouldn't go there again.

We wanted afternoon tea and the Hilton was recommended to us by others. The food was really good but it would have been nice if the wait staff and checked in with us at least once during our 1/2 hour or had informed of us of the time frame when serving us our tea/drinks. The booth we had was interesting, round & sort of private, but not totally comfortable. I would go again.

can’t even put into words how angry i am at the service my mum and nan was treated by the staff here, they always go here and i always book for them the same thing every time and never been a problem well this time the lady was asking for a voucher i have never been sent a voucher to show always given there name in got afternoon tea the traditional one £19. today they tried charging them £22.50 per person. safe to say we will never be going back again after a year of our custom

I didn't think the afternoon tea was worth the money at all 22.95 per person when I booked it says there was a 16 pounds deal for afternoon Tea so we were disappointed also they cramped 4 off us on to a booth table and let us look at the menu for 5 seconds my partner and son had pizza instead and they didn't move the tea cups or side plates away we had to ask. Very slow and now what you would expect from the hilton. I love the hilton but this experience wasn't good at all.

After calling the day previously and paying for afternoon tea my god mother & grandmother arrived as I do not live in liverpool this was a gift. They were advised that it is impossible to pay over the phone and they would need to pay the £45 for afternoon tea. Luckily my god mother called me and I was able to speak to someone who advised “I’m not sure what to do I’ll just put it through as complimentary” however it’s not complimentary when i have already paid the money! It ruined the experience for them and put my already unwell grandmother under great stress.
