7/10The food at the forge is incredible and always has been, every dish was beautiful and the sides are so tasty. The chefs are amazing! Sadly it’s let down by the staff this is the second time we’ve been and received lacklustre service. Nobody seemed to care it was my partners birthday except for a card left on the table. Nobody acknowledged the occasion or even if we were enjoying our food. We would love to be regulars here due to the incredible food but the attitude of the staff has left us feeling unwelcome and reluctant to return.

6.5/10It was a very quiet lunchtime but service was still slow - had to leave the table to ask for more water, having already asked for some. Food was over salted - and I like salt but it was too much for me, even the peppersauce was salty. Had the aged sirloin steak medium rare but it lacked the tenderness I expect from sirloin. It was okay but I wouldn't rush back there to dine.

2/10I would write a review but after 7 days of confirmation emails and texts that I confirmed the booking. On the day I had booked I received an email cancelling my booking no explanation. Now waiting to see if they charge me for cancellation. My wife was looking forward to a night out. Will never try booking again

5.5/10The website menu needs to be updated as the food on the lunch menu was not what we were expecting. I asked for plain steak but it came covered in a strong pepper butter mix. No one asked if we had any allergies, whilst I do not have food allergies other diners might have. Overall we come away disappointed as the main reason for choosing The Forge, was the Game menu as seen on line. Unfortunately there was not much ambience as the restaurant was more or less empty.

7.5/10Disappointed with lack of choice. There was no fillet steak, although the waiter explained they had a very busy weekend, and were waiting for a delivery. Food was ok, extra for sides, so value and quality for money, I thought was average.

10/10The restaurant was lively with a great atmosphere. Server was welcoming, friendly and attentive despite being very busy. The food was first rate, steak cooked to perfection, and everything was delicious. Really enjoyed the evening and would definitely go again.

7/10Service was perfect. A really friendly helpful and knowledgable group of staff. However, for the price, the food was disappointing. The potatoes and carrots were over cooked and very greasy. The piece of stone bass was tiny for £26. Lovely restaurant but food was disappointing.

6/10The groupon offer ( bought for a birthday gift ) was for rump top to share , we were asked how we’d like our steak cooking ( medium rare ) it arrived very rare & quite chewy . We asked for it to be cooked a little more & on its return we were advised by a different waitress that it’ is best cooked medium , which we weren’t advised for this cut . It was edible but was rather disappointing .The side dishes & sauce were very tasty . The Service was good , the bill was initially charged at full price before being corrected . The restaurant was modern stylish & the atmosphere was great . ,

8/10Food was delicious only slight criticism food could of been a bit hotter. Staff not all were not very engaging felt hard to get their attention. Small things no salt and pepper on table so had to look for staff for these which should maybe be on the table no sugar came with coffee so had to try and get staff attention again. My daughter works in hospitality and always approaches a table with a lovely smile she never says anything but she even commented. Hope this of help thank you .

5/10The starter of the pork belly was fantastic. The service was brilliant. I ordered the lamb for a main. Most of it was fat and there was two bites worth of lamb. This was disappointing considering it cost £26. I left feeling hungry still!

10/10The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and attentive, the food was absolutely amazing, so flavoursome and very tasty. Extremely happy and will be booking many more times. We had the roast beef and chicken and started and desserts and nothing failed to impress us.
