6/10I know there was an issue with some kitchen equipment. But the potatoes were not roasted. More like boiled potatoes that had been flash fried to seal them. Not up to the usual standard

6/10The meals are very small. And the sweet menu is very limited and only caters for sweet tooth. ie no cheese and biscuits.

7/10Unavailable items from the menu at 7pm on a Saturday of a Mothers Day weekend is disappointing and surprising. Also Lamb was tough and a little under cooked, portions of mushy peas and sauces were the smallest i have ever seen for the fish and chips! Chciken with the salad was cold when served. It is the little touches that so often make the difference between an ok to a good excellent meal. Ours was the former.

10/10Had a lovely meal with my husband, my sister and brother in law on a fairly quiet Thursday night. Lovely quiet buzz about the place, service was good and attentive, food was delicious, everyone was very happy.

9.5/10Lots of items were not available. No steaks at all! Not had this issue before at this venue and I assume it was due to a no-show delivery, but not the best for a Saturday evening. That said, the food that was ordered was excellent, as was the service.

10/10Staff were very welcoming as soon as we arrived. Food was fantastic! There was a good selection of wine that suited our taste and was wonderfully chilled. Will definitely become one of our regular restaurants.

6.5/10I have been a patron of Fowlers Farm for over twenty years and seen its evolution and last night I visited after some time as I moved out of the area last year. I visited back to the area and met a friend there. The place is brighter but I felt lost some rustic charm. The biggest change was to the menu and I was very disappointed for a few reasons. Firstly the layout of the menu was hard to follow and anybody with sight difficulties would have trouble reading the food descriptions. The layout is confusing too. The second thing was the food itself. There were the odd familiar things but generally for an evening menu it was really lacking. Not too many options and for vegetarians I felt it was pretty poor. Too many Skewer options not enough other alternative dish options. At least with the previous owners you got clear mendued varied dishes. I think a menu reinvent is needed in more ways than one. The listing is confusing and evening options to skint......I felt it needs to be mentioned.

8/10Would have been 5/5 for food but the mushroom starter came out luke warm, didn’t send it back as they were busy and we were hungry. Service generally attentive but one staff member insisted on knocking my chair every time she passed at great speed despite my efforts to move in/out of her way each time. Was also rather cold in the restaurant. Other courses were very much enjoyed by all.

10/10The waitress (Vicky B) was polite and charming, I explained it was my partners birthday celebration, when the dessert arrived (Eton Mess) It was on a plank with Happy Birthday written in chocolate sauce and 3 tea lights. It made his day, so thoughtful of her. Well done.

7/10I couldn’t cut up my potatoes they where to hard and dried up my parsnips where hard and the pork belly was pure fat. Overall it was disappointing

8/10The staff were very welcoming and the service generally good. The green salad had a good variety of ingredients but the added garlic prawns were a little bland. We were disappointed that the coffee machine was not working.

10/10Lovely lunch the waitress was very attentive! The food was excellent and the desserts even better! We had the chocolate flower pot! Maybe a bit stingy on the ice cream! (For the price!) But very tasty!

10/10Excellent food and fantastic service . Visited on two occasions , once for a roast and this time I tucked in to the Boeuf bourginon and my daughter the Sea Bass . All were really good .

6/10Still had the winter menu on, despite it being 23deg. Only one salad, and all winter desserts too. A very poor show, especially when so many other pub/restaurants have been going out of their way to support local producers and providing excellent quality meals, despite the restrictions caused by the pandemic. Will not be recommending nor returning.

9.8/10We (six this time) enjoy Fowlers rib eye steak along with the trimmings. One of the best in the area. However, the parking area suffers from severe flooding - this needs sorting!
