10/10Waitress was really good, polite and confident. Bar staff members took my conversations while sorting drinks out for another guest. This sped up my service. A really nice pub with good fresh food

3/10Sadly this was an awful experience. The staff were half asleep, uncommunicative and slow. (One waitress even told me to wait whilst she went behind the bar and made herself a drink!) The food was overpriced and poor quality. Before writing this, I checked multiple times that the positive reviews were for the same place because based on my experience, there is nothing positive to say.

5.5/10Staff were great and meals didn’t take too long. Two guests had the gammon ham, but couldn’t eat much of it because it was far too salty. The burger was good, but it had black pepper in it, so had too much pepper.

9/10Always have a pleasant hour or so catching up with old friends, it’s a good half way point for us to meet up. Staff always pleasant and food very nice.

9.5/10The food was excellent, great quality and a good quantity. The staff were very attentive. The atmosphere was good. Our designated table for 2 just seemed to be an additional table put next to the door, so was not to our liking. We asked and were reseated, with no fuss at all, to a table for 4 further into the pub. We have already recommended it to our friends.

9/10What a great place to eat. Welcoming and friendly staff. A great relaxed atmosphere, where you can actually hear yourself speak. Some of the best food I have eaten in the 25 years I’ve lived in the area. Great pint of Morretti. We will return as soon as we can.

7.5/10Food was good, as was the service from our waitress. Unfortunately this was overshadowed by the amount of time we had to wait for our food. Our table was booked for 7pm but we didn’t receive starters until 8pm and main meals until 8.45 which was too long and spoiled the evening. Such a shame.

7/10Homely pub, Lovely atmosphere, staff were excellent. This is the second visit in the last month, unfortunately the food is mediocre we had fish and chips this time and the batter was soggy. Unfortunately it took over an hour to come out, we would go again .

10/10My dear friend both remarked how much we enjoyed our complete experience - the first one at the Fox & Hounds. Everything was spot on. The food was lovely as was everything else. We like to go to different places when to have lovely & different experiences. This was a pre-show meal for a brilliant night out at the Wyvern Theatre (calling Planet Earth). Have a perfect dining experience, makes the whole night complete! We will be back. Well done to Fox & Hounds!!

10/10Lovely atmosphere, we were a larger group so sat in the foxes den and it was perfect. The food was wonderful, fresh and well presented. My daughter has intolerances and these were perfectly catered for and cross contamination understood. The staff were so friendly and efficient- this is my 4th visit with different groups and I will def return again.

8.5/10Really enjoy going for lunch at the Fox & Hounds, lovely place lovely staff and lovely food. The music was possibly a little loud but that is a personal opinion and is probably being a little picky. Well worth a trip if you aren't aware of this little gem of a pub!

9.5/10Travelled from South Wales to meet up with family before Christmas. Excellent food, delicious home cooked tasty food. Had to wait a bit for desert but staff very apologetic. Overall well worth the trip from Wales , will visit again.

6.5/10Easy parking. Lovely staff, very friendly and efficient. Food was disappointing in taste. And quantity of good ingredients in some dishes lacking. Coffee excellent. My friends had the crumble which was very tasty but the sticky toffee was tasteless. Overall wouldn't try it again.

10/10Really lovely food, the only issue is when you pre order food you can’t add any comments for example please don’t put tomatoes on the burger. It doesn’t allow you to do this so comments would be a good addition

7/10The staff were lovely and friendly, the only gripe being we as a party of four were squashed onto a table for two and there was a bigger table behind us that was empty for the duration of our stay????
