Nice ambience good food though perhaps the fish in the fish and chips looked a little anaemic. Great salads all nicely served though it needed a search for a waiter/waitress whenever we wanted another order

The staff were friendly but the service of food and drinks getting to us was so slow There weren’t many customers in the restaurant so no reason for the delay When the food came two dishes were not cooked to how they asked for (both well done yuk )waitress was rude when it was mention and said they had continued to cook on the pass !!! Great offer on cocktails 🍸 mon -Thursday 2 for 15 .we would go back but for drinks only

A lovely pub right next to long walks on the Heath. I visited on a quiet afternoon but this place does get busy. The set menu offers god value but the fish and chips were underwhelming. The crumble dessert with custard however was superb. Service is attentive yet unfussy.

Tommy and the other waiters were very helpful and the food was amazing! The pub also has a good selection of wines. We’ll definitely be back for lunch!

There was no actual table service other than bringing the food outdoors. Even had to get our own water and cutlery. Food was subpar. Other than the location everything was pretty disappointing

Two of our mains were good but two were quite disappointing - one arrived cold and had to be sent back; and that was after a fairly long wait. The staff were doing their best to helpful but there was only so much they could do - they offered free puddings or coffees but as we wanted neither we just left the bill as it was. A shame as it’s a lovely pub and good location - and staff trying - but food isn’t what it used to be.

I have been a few times to this restaurant and food is very good but on this occasion the service was poor, food took almost 45minutes to arrive, they did say they were short of stuff but the place wasn't busy so It should be better.

We had a very attentive and patient server, we really liked the food and service. As a wheelchair user I always find it easy to get around the venue and if the table is not in a suitable spot, the staff are happy to move me to a more appropriate an user friendly table. Thanks very much

Restaurant's interior looked nice and cosy. Waiter was not well informed though when asked if pie was home made. Good ambience and good quality of food overall.

This is a rare find indeed : to be able to enjoy excellent cuisine amidst well above average surroundings and with exemplary service. Slightly pricey but actually worth it. Thank you *everyone* as this can only be possible through good team work, find skills attention to detail

Given the staff shortages they were really helpful and made sure everything was up to scratch. Sadly the ambience is terrible. It’s loud echoey and you can’t hear conversations without shouting. The food was delicious but we left as soon as we could because of the noise.

We were a family group of 8 including 3 children and some chose the Christmas menu. We all found the food extremely good - my rack of lamb was beautifully rare - and the children's menu had very generous portions & healthy veg sides ( as opposed to the standard chips ! ) were provided.on request.

Pretty, large, relaxed pub with restaurant perfect for our large group of friends. Some main courses were not particularly generous (eg. Burger), however reasonable for the money in this location. Service was very slow, and although it was Saturday lunchtime they’re were tables free so wasn’t at capacity so not sure justification for this. In general nice venue for a reunion with friends.
