10/10Our first time to dine at The Game Bird was very satisfying. Our Sommelier helped us to pick an excellent Italian wine. We both had the suckling pig that was exactly how it should be cooked & was a delight. Highly recommended!!!

10/10Food well prepared and presented with excellent service and really good food. The Sommlier is world class, wine cellar very well selected, and covers the wine world, with fair pricing to the consumer. Wonderful experience.

10/10All the staff from the lobby Ambassador / Front Desk & The Game Bird Staffs were all amazing and welcomed me very well and warmly. I’m really thankful for their lovely service and continuous effort in checking up on the guest. Even when I used the restroom, the simple touches really made me feel special during my visit to The Game Bird. I look forward to staying with you all at the Stafford Hotel in the near future. Please take care everyone

10/10Our tea at the Stafford was absolutely lovely. We opted for the Stafford as something quieter and more unique than the larger tea houses. The decor, ambiance, and hospitality were unparalleled. Everything was well appointed. Our 10, 13, and 15 year old children found the food and tea delicious. Our 13 year old American son now believes tea to be his favorite beverage. When we have the good fortune to be in London again, we will most definitely return to the Stafford.

10/10“What a fabulous start to our Christmas celebration” . Fabulous service from the entrance to the hotel to leaving the front door. Elegant service with in the restaurant and the quality of the food was magnificent and elegantly presented. Packed with flavours . Thank you for the 2 Christmas tree decorations, the will grace our tree with fond memories of a truly enjoyable food and beverage experience. Merry Christmas to all the team

Lovely atmosphere, not noisy and ideal for a special occasion or a simple catch-up. Very good and attentive service from the waiters. After saying that, we don't have to forget something relevant: my food experience is what matters the most. Food portions were embarrassing, me and my friend had both a main and trust me, that was the smallest portion I ever had in my life. A main is a main, I can't even imagine what the starters look like at this point..... A fancy place should never mean starvation, hopefully we'll get the concept soon

10/10I'm an afternoon tea lover and have had many of the years. I had a festive afternoon tea at the game bird and it was awesome! I often go by myself as friends and family aren't into having afternoon tea that much. Especially in the more posh venues staff can treat you as if you are the poop on their shoe when you are on your own. At the game bird they were great and helpfull and made me feel very welcome I got a wonderful spot! The Food was great and the tea tasty. From my place I could oversee the restaurant and with the music and relaxed atmosphere I only got my iPhone to take a picture of my beautiful festive afternoon tea, not being bored for one second. I could not recommend this tea highly enough not only for sharing, but definitely also when you want to go on your own

3.5/10Very disappointing with a name like the game bird I chose game pie expecting great things unfortunately pastry that should have been Chrisp was soggy and uninviting; the game in the pie was bland and could have been anything that had been topped by a green concoction that was tasteless. I can only think the pie must have been made, put in a fridge, and taken out with no attempt to make it tasty Chrisp and attractive. The only dish that really work was the smoked salmon, which given it was an HH foreman salmon would be hard to mess up. I was really disappointed and I wonder whether the manager of the hotel examine whether the kitchen output was really up to his high expectations

10/10The Game Bird is definitely on its “A Game.” We go out to dinner often in greater London and this was a fantastic surprise! The dining room is beautiful, the food fantastic, and the service was the best we’ve had since we moved here several years ago. The food suggestions to the champagne and wine selections (and an excellent martini preparation) we’re all spot on. Thank you to the entire staff for making the entire evening enjoyable. On a side note, one of our party is celiac, and while most restaurants are able to accommodate, The Game Bird did so flawlessly.

10/10This is a five star restaurant in every possible way, except for the prices, which more closely match what a six star restaurant would charge. The food, service and ambiance were beyond reproach. This restaurant takes pride in making sure that everything goes well and that customers are satisfied.

10/10Lovely experience at The Game Bird for afternoon tea. The staff was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to accommodate my food allergies, even though we had only made the reservation that same morning. I will certainly be returning in the future and I would highly recommend to others!

10/10Amazing staff made this the best experience. Very attentive and knowledgable. Nothing was too much trouble and all staff went out of their way to ensure my husband had the best 40th birthday meal! Food was excellent. Very well presented and cooked to perfection. We can not fault a single thing! It was a fabulous experience and we are looking forward to going back.

10/10We were a bit early so they offered us a drink at the bar in the hotel which was a nice start to the evening. After we were seated they gave us some delicious bread to start things off. The service was great with nice people who knew what they were talking about and guided us through what we were eating. Overall this was one of the, if not the best experience I’ve ever had. It was a 10/10 for me and I would recommend it to everyone.

10/10The Game Bird is at the top of its form. Our party of five received attentive service. The Beetroot Salad, Lamb, Venison Wellington, Suet Pudding, and Baked Alaska were not only properly prepared, they were delicious and appealing. So often Venison Wellington, or any other cut of meat prepared in this manner, is a soggy unappetising mess. At The Game Bird this was not so. The crust was crisp, the foie gras rich, and the venison rare. The wine list is excellent and correctly priced. A good place for a delightful dinner.

8/10Food was excellent, very impressed. The service on arrival was somewhat disappointing. I had to ask for the drinks menu and we kept having to get the attention of the staff. However once the food arrived the service improved.

10/10It contradicts how a relaxing Sunday should be because i had to have my roast in a hurry!! The staff were incredibly accommodating especially considering it was packed. I have to say it it one of the best roasts in London. Beef, gravy, roast potatoes, 2 yorkshires and loads of vegatables cooked to perfection. Excellent choice of red wines by the glass also. Great place to spend a sunday lunch. Will repeat and repeat and repeat no doubt!!

9.5/10Truly memorable Sunday lunch for two. Sun was shining and we enjoyed great Bloody Marys sitting outside n the Courtyard area of the American Bar. Starters of dressed crab and smoked salmon were simple but perfectly executed. Roast beef was sublime, it melted in the mouth. Roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding excellent. I am not a huge vegetable fan but my wife thought everything else was perfectly cooked. We have scored the food maximum marks but my wife's only suggestion to improve the meal would be if they could swap the roasted (? ) cauliflower for cauliflower cheese. A minor quibble though. Lemon tart with mascarpone ice cream was light but delicious. Master Sommelier was brilliant. We love red wine but the wine menu was far more sophisticated than we are. He took the time to quietly check our comfort zone in terms of price and then recommended a Burgundy which we would never have chosen and and it was wonderful. At the end of the meal he then gave us a tour of the 350 year old wine cellars below the restaurant which was fascinating and a really privilege. The food at The Game Bird, at least as far as Sunday lunch is concerned, is at least as good if not better than Simpsons in the Strand, and the service is outstanding. We can't wait to go back.

8/10We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch starting with excellent champagne. The service was attentive rather than over powering. My lactose intolerance was taken care of with no fuss.
