5/10Without a doubt the smallest morsels of food i have ever been presented with even allowing for the fact this wascac"fine dining " experience. The cheese plate at £15 or so consisted of 3 tiny wedges of cheese that you could literally hold to the light and see through. I realise restaurants are cutting back and as a result are minimising portions (clearly some more than others) however the portions were annoyingly small, ridiculously small. Generally the food was of a good standard although the roe deer was significantly overcooked which was dissapointing. We are not "big" eaters and my wife would normally be very happy with a small portion however for the first time ever in over 45 years of dining together her reaction was "this is comical" Considering the price point it may be prudent for the owners to reconsider thier strategy. We certainly won't return unless there is a significant change. Too many good options in Glasgow - The Buttery, Unalome etc.....

9/10+5The dining experience was exceptional, with food that delivered both visually stunning presentations and remarkable flavors. The service was attentive, and the ambiance added to the overall enjoyment. However, the portion sizes for a fixed menu were surprisingly small, leaving us wanting more by the end of the meal. This would have been less of an issue with an à la carte menu, but for a fixed course, it felt unusual to finish still slightly hungry.

7.5/10We enjoyed our lunch at The Gannet and the service was excellent however we were shown through to a table in a room at the back (3 out of 5 tables eventually occupied) which inevitably lacked in atmosphere hence marked down. Our mackerel starters were delicious as were the focaccia and soda bread with a crisp and delicious mushroom beignet as appetisers. I chose the artichoke agnolotti as my main and my husband enjoyed the cod with meltingly buttery mash as main but it was the desserts that left us feeling a bit disappointed.
