2/10when we arrived, there was a problem about getting our table. We had a disabled person with us - I didn't know you could book the bar area for meals, so my friend had to manage to steps to the table. We had to wait a long time for service (we went up to ask for someone to come to the table) when we ordered drinks first, I then had to go up to the bar to ask where our drinks were, then only 3 of them arrived and not the 4th. We then waited for our meal. None of us enjoyed the meal (one meal was cold, one meal lukewarm)and one person left half of his meal. We were then told we had to go up to the bar to pay for our meal as they wouldn't accept it at the table.

4.5/10Service fair apart from wait at downstairs desk to 'check in' Poor helping of meat with hard cooked potatoes. Decent dessert. Overpriced.

5/10Disappointed this time. Had to sit in the bar area when restaurant had been booked. Apparently the restaurant was too cold but when we still asked to be seated there, was told it wasnt open. Many Chairs in the bar area to low for the table height so not comfortable. My starter of pan fried prawns with feta in chilli sauce was disappointing- one piece of feta and four prawns in a tomato chilli sauce! I had asked for my gammon steak to be well done. It wasn’t but the chips were! Definitely not up to the usual standard of the George and Dragon.

7/10Every table had to ask for their food to be cleared. Service was slow and when we arrived we were seated at a table that wasn’t cleared from the previous diners

5/10Service was ok, waitress very helpful, 3 of us had dinner, steak was sent back as so tough couldn’t cut, offered another steak but we cancelled as took too long and had finished our main meal. Was offered free desert but didn’t have toffee pudding in stock so left restaurant hungry but the other 2 meals were enjoyable but was let down on the mini desert not having cream or custard served with the crumble. Would go back as the complaint was dealt with satisfactorily and waitress very apologetic and hope that the steak improves next time round

6/10We had a very nice lunch, however, there were a number of dishes that were not available. I believe is due to no deliveries on a Monday therefore it was a very limited menu.

4/10Quality of food was actually quite decent but service was beyond terrible. Started with turning up to be told they didn’t have our booking for 6 people even though I clearly had a booking which I showed them. Then told was not their fault and could accommodate us but only in the bar. Was then basically ignored whole afternoon and had to chase them up for every order as well as to get bill and the to pay. If I could give 0 for service I would. Need to sort themselves out.

6/10Food was good as were the waiting staff. Sadly the wait between starter and main course 40 minutes was far to long. Made worse as the restaurant was very quiet.

7.5/10Really great venue and would revisit however would say we visited on an off day! Everywhere has them! Shown to the wrong table with not enough settings, dishes forgotten, wrong food brought out, drinks forgotten, cold food (sent back and rectified). You’d expect one, but not all those issues! Overall didn’t detract from having a really good time!

6.5/10Lovely pub. They did not have our booking as there was some communication problem between the fork website and their computer. Found is a table. Gods was average, they had run out of some Of the dishes by 1330. The beef was tough and they gave us an empty hat r of mustard, little things I know but it all adds up

6/10Had trout to start which was over salted, herb crusted salmon was ok although slightly over cooked and crème brûlée was very cold and not much glaze. Overall disappointed as I had high hopes for this restaurant but will not be returning.

7.5/10The restaurent overall was very good. Specifically my vegan mezze flatbread meal was not good and its price was removed from my bill on request. It wasn't a mezze in the usual sense - no variety of different foods. It was supposed to have humus but had none that was discernible. So I ended up with a flatbread which had salad and some avocado on top and some kind of spread....as a mains ? Whereas the other mains, starters and desserts were very good. Such a shame.

10/10Our family had a lovely meal in this busy restaurant. The food and service was excellent, recommend the Chicken Milanese, the baked Brie and all the desserts (we had three of them) were all great. Well worth a visit.

10/10The restaurant was easy to find and the food was excellent! The staff were friendly and service us quickly and just enough time between courses. I would highly recommend this restaurant and will be going again soon.

9.8/10Lovely warm welcome Staff very friendly and helpful. Really pretty decor Scrumptious food Un hurried and lots of space round the table and quiet . Could have done with the music being a little more subdued . But we’d definitely dine there again . Thoroughly lovely??
