9/10Service very good and food came in good time. Menu gave good choices and the food was nice, nothing special but good. Could have had more veg with the pie and sea bass. Free customer car park at the rear which is a bonus. All in all, we were happy and would return again.

8.5/10Very nice Sunday lunch with mum. Everyone enjoyed their meals and desserts. I ordered cheese board, which was straight out of fridge, but apart from that all good. If a little pricey.

3/10Arrived at 12.30 for 1.00 booking, Car park was full and struggled to find parking. Had requested a table for 3, preferably near a window. Was given the table nearest the car park entrance and next to the toilets, freezing cold every time the doors opened, most unpleasant. When our guest arrived he was greeted with “are we waiting for someone else?” just what we needed to hear as he had just buried his wife. We reminded the waitress when we arrived that our booking was for three people and she knew that from our booking. When we were asked what we wanted to drink I asked for fresh orange and lemonade but there was no orange juice. Can you believe that. M&S is right across the road, surely someone could have collected some from there. I ordered the line caught fresh cod and chips with garden peas instead of minted peas. The cod was the thickness of plaice and had been cooked for so long it was like trying to cut into a piece of wood, there was a puddle of oil on the plate that had dripped off the batter and the peas didn’t even cover the bottom of the dish. I actually counted them and there were 12 peas. I didn’t make a fuss as things were already strained as our guest was quite upset about the original greeting on arrival. This was our first visit to one of the pubs in your chain and to be honest will probably be the last, extremely disappointed.

9/10We went on a Monday evening, and a few other tables were taken, shows they are doing things right when lots of places are not opening on Mon/Tues and when we find one open if more than 2 or 3 tables are taken you are lucky. The bar was also fairly busy. Food as usual was good, with generous portions, I would prefer the sauces to be a little lighter but meals were very tasty and good quality. With friendly service.

9.5/10Our second visit, again food good, served by Ioana who remembered us from last time. Turning into our favourite pub to eat, quality is good well presented and generous portions.

10/10We had a fab meal! And I have to say Ioana was amazing. What brilliant service and what a personable and excellent waitress. If all your staff are like her then you are surely on a winner. :) Can't wait to come back and just hope Ioana is on duty then too!

9/10I am a frequent guest at the George and Dragon for Sunday Lunch and I highly rate the quality of food. The staff are polite, friendly and professional and they have a "nothing is too much trouble" attitude. They are also very welcoming to children and babies.

10/10Lovely pub. Staff are very friendly and extremely efficient. Food was delicious! Highly recommend. The only criticism is that parking can be tricky when car park is full

10/10Been to the George and Dragon many times before and it has never disappointed. First time for Sunday lunch which was perfect. The meat was cooked to perfection and the vegetable selection was very good.

10/10Visited on Valentine’s Day. Did not intend to use the set menu but it looked nice and the champagne offer was pretty good. All out good was delicious. Alec was a credit to the pub.

7/10Good service, hot meal, nice meat but the baked vegetables left a lot to be desired. maybe we should have tried the al a carte menu !! Take care to enter your car details at the machine, I was sent an £80 parking fine for drinking in the bar without registering even though I have been there many times before this scheme was introduced. As a pensioner this put me off eating or drinking there ever again. Not my favourite restaurant in the area.

3.8/10It was extremely busy & had to wait for 40 minutes before getting seated even though we had booked. The waiter tried hard but kept forgetting our drinks & getting them wrong I really don't know why they can't write it down! I had the lamb roast dinner it should of been called a lamb fat roast dinner as there was hardly any meat just fat, we also asked for gravey which was meant to be bottomless all we got was a dribble on the plate & when we asked for more it never turned up. Then to top it off the waiter gave us the wrong bill we only realised when he had taken our money then practically accused us of changing the bill (not sure how on earth we could of done that) then as we owed extra money we paid using a card machine which broke 3 times, the waiter was then practically banging it on the side getting very angry. So we won't be going back.
