10/10★★★★★ I had an absolutely amazing experience at this Georgian restaurant! The food was incredibly fresh and full of authentic flavors—every dish was delicious and beautifully prepared. The restaurant’s decor was warm and inviting, creating a perfect atmosphere to enjoy the meal. The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive, providing top-notch service that made the evening even more enjoyable. 6.5/10Lunch for 6. Service was good and food generally nice but definitely on the expensive side. We had a selection of starters that is served cold. When we asked to pay it was explained that there was a problem with the card reader and they ask if we could pay cash. This option would have been more welcoming if it had been made clear when we arrived as later we learnt from other reviews that is something they do all the time.A bit cheeky..

8.5/10The food was very very good and the people very friendly. But. There was only one Server and I think it was too much work for one person - for example the toilet was not as clean as you would expect. The biggest downside though was the fact that they could not accept card payments, only cash and Bank Transfer and it created a huge confusion as we were a big Party. This should have been mentioned when we made the Reservation.

9.5/10It's my first time trying Georgian cuisine and dining at this cozy restaurant. The menu offered a good selection and for mains we ordered beef, pork, chicken, trout and a vegan dish. All tasted good especially the cornbread (coming with the Qotnis Lobio Rachulad) which came straight from the oven. Only comment from my friend who ordered the Ostri was that it could be served warmer.

8/10+1very nice service, but a few positions on the menu run out. also, I probably didn't make a good choice by having the bean stew. The Lady who works there is lovely. It feels very authentic, just a shame that it didn't have the most traditional food items.

2/10The food was terrible - cold and wasn’t fresh. The wine was terrible - seemingly poured from an open bottle left to the side for days. The whole experience was severely disappointing.

7.5/10We liked the deco and the intimate feeling of the place. Some food felt overpriced. Like £4.50 for the tiny pot of spicy tomato sauce. The same with a sour cream portion. These should have been just part of a condiment. The dishes we have tried were nice. Wine choice by glass is interesting but not a main stream anough to have it as a house wine (i.e. less adventurous might not like it). we used Forks 50% off food offer and the bill in the end felt right. Without the offer, I would have felt it was overpriced for what that was. The service could have been better in terms of advise and recommendations. There was a missed opportunity to suggest to use some variety. The waitress even didn't offer us to look at a desert menu. It's worth the visit as it's has nicely cooked Georgian food.

2/10I was really disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The portion sizes were way too small for the price (it may be because of 50% off with the Fork, as other tables had bigger portions), leaving me feeling like I didn’t get my money’s worth. On top of that, the food just wasn’t very tasty. The place itself is also tiny, which made it feel cramped and uncomfortable. Overall, it wasn’t a good experience, and I wouldn’t recommend it. P.S. even with the 50% off, we paid 60£ for two and we still had buy more food somewhere else

6.5/10Disappointing: we were told during the order that the discount was not valid for a couple of mains from the a-la-carte menu (exactly the ones we would have chosen), although it was not specified when booked.

7.5/10+1They have a different menu for TheFork bookings. it was really strange because after I ordered, they remembered that I booked via TheFork and then prompted to give me a menu (the same one but with marks on which items have no discount). Also when you order and reference from the images, ask them the quantity that they give, otherwise it would differ (such as 4 dumplings in the photos but 3 dumplings in real life). Personally though, the food was delicious, very fresh. Particularly loved the mushroom dumplings, and cheese bread. Just be mindful of the different menus; would be fine.

7.5/10Food excellent, service attentive, but the noise levels made it impossible to hold a conversation over the dinner table. The background music was too loud. Parties at tables were forced to shout over it, with volume levels escalating as everyone tried to compete to be heard. Food is exceptional. Don't go for a late sitting on a busy night if you can help it! Sit outside if you can.

5/10I had been looking forward to trying this restaurant for a while, but was hugely disappointed. The service was poor, had to keep waiting around for ages & when items weren’t on the menu & we asked for guidance as this is a cuisine not accustomed to, we weren’t really guided & ended up with meals without accompaniment because we weren’t told it needed it - then had to wait ages to order some for it to come. The food itself was average. My husband enjoyed his traditional dumplings, but my chicken was tough & bland , and I really didn’t enjoy it. Ended up leaving it & getting a sandwich on the way home. Wouldn’t really recommend this place sadly. Not my cuppa tea

9/10We were not sure exactly what to expect from Georgian food but enjoyed it all and the very good Georgian red wine. The starters, with distinctive ingredients such as walnut and aubergine pate, the warm soft cheese bread (khachapuri) were all very tasty. The special stuffed dumplings went down very well as did my hot pot of red beans.

9.5/10It was the first time that we tried Georgian food, and we loved it! We had a mezze with four vegetable salads and katchapuri. It was delicious and by far my favourite. We also share the Georgian dumplings (good) and the trout (really good). The waitress was really nice and the location is cozy

4/10Dishes were small and those didn't taste fresh neither delicious. Considering the high prices, it is a robbery. Restaurant is currently twice smaller in size than on the photos and it looks very outdated. Photos represent it as a cozy place, but it doesn't feel like that at all.

2/10I made a reservation for 7:30pm then moved 8pm via thefork app, Ive been there at 7:55pm and there were all the tables and chairs up side down with the 1 lady with curly hair from the staff which was ready to close the restaurant and with her bicycle ready to go…. I did show to her the reservation on the app and She just went mad and throw her hat on the table asking me to wait 5 minute to get the room ready again…… Then she started annoyed moving back and outside all the tables, lighting up again the light in order to prepare the room for us, meantime another 3 guests arrived with another reservation and she went more madness….. At that time I decided to not stay there and leave because getting this Bad attitude from the Waiter I was feeling very embarrassing… I won’t be there anymore. Shame.

9/10The Georgian is a WONDERFUL find. I love that the moment you walk into the cafe, the aromas of the other diners dishes hits - together with the decor, it makes it a very nice cosy experience. The whole experience very much feels like a home cooked meal and the dishes definitely pack a punch. It was a great way to try a new cuisine and I will definitely be returning

5/10The mixed mezze starter was good except for the katchipuri (can't spell that). The mains where not great and even with 50 percent off represented poor value for what you got. The white wine was dreadful and very overpriced.

9.5/10I was worried when I read a number of negative reviews but chanced a meal there on Saturday evening. The restaurant was full, service was friendly and food came in good time. The quality of food and wine was good and being Georgian made an interesting change. Without a discount though, prices would have been considered to be high. Will certainly visit again should an offer be available.

10/10The food is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Definitely order one of the cheese-filled breads, and do it as soon as you sit down because they’re made and baked fresh to order so take 20mins or so. But they’re so worth it! The portions are medium-to-generous, the servers are friendly, knowledgeable, unobtrusive but there when you need them, and the restaurant itself is so pretty and welcoming and comfortable. Highly recommend. Will be thinking about those delicious dishes for weeks to come and can’t wait to return to try more! Only a 1min walk across the road from Clapham South Station, too - very convenient and easy to find. Love love loved our experience at The Georgian … just make sure everyone knows it’s the one on Balham Hill, so nobody accidentally heads to a restaurant of the same name in Clapham (like one of my friends did)!😆
