7.5/10I visited the Globe at Newton St Lowe on a Tuesday I think a traditionally a quiet day . The greeting received was welcoming and the service good , the meal was well presented and whilst not exceptional was good . All in all I would definitely return in the future .

8/10Had a very enjoyable lunch time meal at the Globe today with the family. Received a phone call prior to leaving home to advise that there was a problem in the kitchen so the menu choice was more restrictive today, however the menu choice available was more than adequate.

9.5/10Food was excellence. Service was quite slow. It was obvious that we would have to wait with only 3 staff dealing the bar, restaurant etc. The number of staff left to cope was not good, but those that were there were very good. I suggest you employ more staff to avoid damaging your very good reputation

4.5/10Our group of diners have used The Globe many times but over the last couple of years it has deteriorated in all aspects - quality, service and selection. We have always stressed that some diners are Gluten-intolerant and Lactose-intolerant. Both of these are serious allergies. One member was asked to study a tablet which clearly gave a meal as gluten-free. The waiter was asked to check and returned to say that this option was NOT gluten-free (chips). When asked if boiled potatoes were available - no they were not. Member reluctantly opted for mashed potato which was quite cool. No hot-drinks were available. Machine had been out of order "for a few days" - no kettle available for tea, hot chocolate or even instant coffee! No reflection on staff. Generally they are very helpful and good. But couldn't help feeling more training was required. Sadly, despite it being convenient for our group to meet up, we do not intend to visit The Globe in the near future as other options are available.

3/10This has to be one of the worst restaurants in Bath after arriving and booked a table the day before was given the menu at the bar on arrival and asked what we wanted to to told half was not available,sat at table waiter took order for drinks never came back so had to leave table an get drinks from bar , bad quality food ,

10/10Lovely meal and a pint with my son. Luckily we booked early as there was a local power outage leaving the other diners hungry. Not the pubs fault. They were very helpful guiding diners to alternatives that still had power. I will definitely be back.

7/10The food when it arrived was good but we had to wait a very long time to have our order taken and another long wait to receive the food. Our table time was at 12:30 and didn’t receive food until after 1:30. The ambience was very pleasant as were the wait staff. We were warned they were short-staffed on that day but it was a very long wait. I had made an order online and received a confirmation email but didn’t realize the confirmation had to be confirmed again in the conformation email, So the Globe did not have our reservation recorded when we arrived, however, they were still able to accommodate us in the restaurant section which we appreciated.

8.5/10We were made to feel really welcome on arrival(including our dog). Food was good and service also good. Service may have been a tad slow but we didn’t mind that - no rushing to get you out before next people arrive. Will go again

10/10We arrived before the time booked We had our booked table Pre drinks and still bottled water ice lemon Sodas and I had a coffee Starters we selected to share starters Perfectly presented tasty in every way I declined. Starter for the chefs Special It was amazing I chose belly pork and back pudding mash potato green beans s. The high light where the perfect clam a slight beautiful grill flavor the gravy jue was sublime a truly seasonal treat the shard of crackling perfect I've eaten this dish from high end restaurants in Bath and never had it as good Staff amazing and well deserved the tip. Friendly warm and happy the place was packed And it was quiz night so quite loud We chose to have mini deserts and the orange creme bulae was stunning the crack of topping perfect and they even made me a baileys floater Wow decently use again and again

10/10Booked a table for 2 for Sunday lunch. Have been here before but not for a couple of years. It's really lovely place for lunch, we were met at the entrance & then taken to our table. We had looked at the menu & decided to go for the Sunday lunch & ordered some drinks/bottle of wine. Staff were very friendly & attentive. The roast dinner is one of the best we've had for some time (one beef & one pork) it was nice & hot & we asked for extra gravy nice roast potatoes too. Prices are good , we thoroughly enjoyed it , would absolutely recommend The Globe. Thankyou

3.5/10The waitress was extremely friendly. The food was poorly cooked, the chips were first overcooked (almost burnt) then when we asked for a change they came raw, the order took decades (if not centuries), then the portions are miserably small for a British Sunday roast. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone else. Is sad as The Globe Inn used to be a reference place in the area .

10/10We had a complimentary bottle of prosecco as it was my husbands birthday and we eat here quite often. Staff friendly and attentive. Food gd standard. Cosy peaceful atmosphere. Love the log fire.

5.5/10Dropped in for an early evening meal on Halloween. Promptly escorted to our table. Only one draught beer on, Doom bar. We perused the menu which was limited. Was quickly told there were no steaks available (a must have for any restaurant surely) and no Sunday Lamb. With so limited choice I went for the chicken snitzel with BBQ sauce. Utterly tasteless with a tiny portion of lettuce. My wife said her roast beef was reasonable. I wouldn’t return as the whole experience was underwhelming

10/10It was good to be able to visit The Globe, after all this time and it didn't disappoint. We met some friends from Bristol, the first time we had met for 18 months, the staff were very welcoming and attentive and we were all pleased the delicious meals we had.
