9/10The food was wonderful and both the environment and service were not overbearing at all. In fact, if anything, the service needs to be a bit more attentive. (But of a wait between courses, needing to ask for check, etc..) Nothing bad, mind you, but not quite what one would expect with a Michelin-starred place.

10/10We had a wonderful dinner at the Goring Dining Room. The food was delicious and the room was opulent and elegant. Few restaurants provide true fine dining like what you will experience at The Goring!

9.5/10The food was outstanding and the ambience quiet and elegant. While the service was very, very good, one small bit: I would have appreciated if staff had checked in from time to time to make certain we had everything we needed. Other than that, it was a wonderful dinner. PS. Special thanks for accommodating changes to my original reservation. I was so glad to share this wonderful meal with some dear friends.

6.5/10Hands down, service was amazing, worth the price and fits the ambiance. Being an etiquette connaisseur, it is really rare to find restaurants that perfectly follow the etiquette without any mistake. Food was below expectations (except the baba au rhum which was really good). I have tried many michelin star restaurants in my life, and I have to say that this was the worst in terms of food. Quality was good, but nothing exceptional was presented. For me, this is a fancy place, but nothing of an exceptional experience (taste wise) as we are used to in Michelin star restaurants.

10/10I was our 50th anniversary dinner. The staff was very accommodating. They gave us the best table in the house. The dinner was stellar. We had the Wellington for two. The dessert was a revelation. Can’t praise the Goring Dining Room enough.

We felt warmly welcomed. Staff were friendly and professional. The ambience was pleasant. Both starters, main, desserts were good as expected. Plenty of choices on wine by glass with fairly good quality. We do have a good time there.

8/10Generally very good but could be better. The risotto was a bit salty, and the duck a bit chewy. The dishes are larger than novel cuisine, so unless you’re hungry, skip the sides. The dessert was excellent. There is a good vegetarian menu and the vegetarian dishes are excellent.

10/10Highly knowedgeable staff, outstanding service without the "hovering" of other comparable restaurants. The food never disappoints nor does the ambient music which is non-intrusive with cool jazz vibes. A great way to spend an evening in a tasteful setting.

This was a wonderful experience. We loved every second of being there - from the warm welcome all the way down to a nice chocolate complementary good-buy. Ambience is nice and charming! The meal was just perfect, I’d say the right word was “divine!” If I ever come back to London, this restaurant is on my list. A definite “yes” to go! Irina and Vitalii, Seattle, WA.

10/10Incredible food and the service was exceptional, definitely worth the cost of the meal. We had a birthday dinner planned and the staff gave my fiancée a birthday card and dessert which was very much appreciated, would highly recommend!

Lovely lunch. Relaxed but attentive service. Beautifully prepared and served food. Slight niggle; the sommelier was one of those who tried to top-up our wine when glass was not empty. For me, that’s not classic service.

+2This was a last minute booking as we found ourselves in London for the weekend. The food was delicious and some of the service team were warm and welcoming. One of the servers placed the amuse bouche on our table and walked away without telling us what it was (we had to ask another person). Thank goodness we don't have any food allergies! We also had to ask more than once for some ice to have with our drinks. We also had to tell them when we were finished with the mains, and when we ordered dessert (which included a hot drink), we did not receive any petit fours or chocolate (all the other tables did). Perhaps service was a little off this weekend? The other downside was that the prices advertised on The Fork did not match the prices on The Goring's website, and the prices advertised on The Goring's website did not match the actual prices on the menu! For example, their famous lobster omelette is £34 on The Fork's 'a la carte' menu, £38 on The Goring's website, but we were actually charged £45! The food is good, but I am not sure we would go back again. We paid over £200 for a 3-course meal and service was subpar and the prices were inconsistent.

First time visit to the Goring; we were met with open arms service was excellent, although a side was missed the food was brilliant, interesting flavours and everything was cooked to perfection. The only negatives being a forgotten side and the ambiance of the room was lacking a touch. Maybe some music?

10/10Wife's birthday treat. Pampered and attended to throughout. Food was splendid; I had the egg drumkilbo starter, chicken main with cabbage side and rum baba dessert - wife the scallops starter, Dover sole main and chocolate cremeax dessert. Wife received a small chocolate dessert cube treat also. Overall memorable five star experience.
