10/10The Green Apple Tree is possibly the best Indian restaurant I’ve ever been to and there have been some good ones. The depth of flavour in the dishes is incredible. I had the mussels to start with. Amazing, the sauce they were in was sublime. They also did us some kulfi even though they no longer have a dessert menu. So top for service as well . Just great.

9.5/10What a fabulous Indian Restaurant. A gem in the centre of Northallerton. The staff were attentive and professional. The food was exceptional (My wood pigeon starter was the best I have ever tasted) The lamb main was also outstanding. I will be returning very soon.

8/10Nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. Food was v tasty. One main course was over salty but when mentioned it was changed very quickly and was fine. The only thing that was a shame was the waiting time. Possibly understaffed that evening? We would go back.

Every item from the poppadoms onwards was fresh, delightfully different and excellent value. wry friendly and knowledgeable staff who take great pride in their food Brilliant and we’ll be back

10/10First time we had been tonight ( 13/7/24) arrived to fantastic friendly staff. The ambience was lovely. First class friendly service, speedy service and the food was excellent. Its not cheap and cheerful like a lot of Indian restaurants it's 5* tasty freshly cooked food . Would recommend!!!

10/10Not your normal, run of the mill Indian restaurant. And all the better for it. A lovely setting, super friendly staff and an imaginative and interesting menu. To cap it all, the food was delicious. From the very start of the meal, with the ‘elephant’s ears’ popadoms, this restaurant is trying to be different, and a little but special. It succeeds. Try it. You won’t regret it.

8.5/10This is an exceptional and very different Indian meal. The staff are great and the chef is clearly talented. Imaginative and excellent food. The venue isn’t nearly as good as the food but they are doing the best with what they have. Having had the food here I will not want to go elsewhere for Indian. It is a real gem. Well done the chef and owner.

7.5/10The food was nice but a little disappointed in the flavours, I was expecting extremely tasty, spicy authentic dishes, they were just a little safe. I was expecting small portions as that is the trend but these were very small, with only around 3/4 small pieces of meat in the mains. The side dishes were those some in our party had tried elsewhere and whilst enjoyable they were perhaps not as good as expected. The naan breads were ok but nothing to write home about. The fact the meals offered were gluten free, though not guaranteed, was a bonus. Possibly not coeliac suitable. We had a nice evening but not as remarkable as we'd expected. The staff were excellent, very friendly, knowledgeable and approachable too.
