Booked online but staff said the reservation had not been notified to them despite the text reminder on my phone which I showed them. Who is at fault here? Fortunately they were able to make a table available for us and so we proceeded to have an enjoyable meal. |Not sure if we will book online again.

I had the fishcakes, the curry was too strong and the sauce was tasteless, chips nice. The waitress did not have much character. We asked for ice cream when on the fixed price lunch menu and she did not explain that the price would be extra. Poor menu on the fixed price menu, not impressed. No hot water available so no tea. Did not really enjoy the whole experience, will not be returning.

Usually the food is good but this time several of our dishes were very overcooked. My husband's lasagne burnt round the edges and our friend's chicken schnitzel Usually the food is good but this time several of the dishes were very overcooked. My husband's lasagne was burnt black round the edge and our friend's chicken schnitzel was so dry and overdone that it was inedible. A free dessert was offered as compensation so it was dealt with satisfactorily but a shame it was not up to usual standard. As ever the staff were very friendly and welcoming. '

Very good service. Sheila our waitress worked hard to look after us. The candles on the birthday boy's pudding was a nice touch. All in all a good meal.

We meet up every 3 months and we all love it so, we will see you in May 2023 ????. Service is always good and we know we can count on our waitress who is always ready to offer advice about the food we may order - very happy.

Waitress was lovey and attentive but kitchen was a bit slow and food a bit dry (fish) steaks were quite tough. Had to leave half of the steak (which cost £17).

The staff were very attentive and friendly. I ordered the boeuf bourgionone (sorry if that's the wrong spelling) and the meat was a bit tough. I thought it had been heated up in a microwave! It was hard to cut.

Visiting again after lockdown and was much better than before. Food hot and well presented. Didn’t have to wait long to be servered. All staff encountered were very friendly. As it’s local to us will definitely return.
