Great service, good value for money even without the fork discount. First restaurant we have visited that took the discount off the bill straight away, others we have been to full bill has arrived and we have had to ask for the discount, so we'll done to the Griffin staff.

Menu selection and taste were excellent. It is a restaurant that has a "just right" number of dishes they prepare--not too few, not too many. Our risotto, steak, and Chicken Caesar were delicious (best chicken out we've tasted in a long time). Why did we get an appetizer? Two of us couldn't finish our mains. Service was very friendly, not prompt at moments, but they timed drinks and food just before I was about to ask. Bar and dining area have different ambiances, though both were generally mellow and jovial. Highly recommend.

Really nice food. But the service was lacking. Maybe it was Sunday vibes but I have feeling that it is business as usual in that place. Imagine sitting near the bar and feeling ignored while staff of three is really involved into their own conversation. To the point where you need to stand up and go to them to get some attention. But really tasty food. So i would go there if you got time to lose because you might wait a “tad bit” longer than you are used to.

We are here due to recommendations and bonus there was an offer on food. Service was slow and a bit scattered but it was a busy Sunday lunch. Table next to us complained about quality of food and was given a discount and apology by staff. Our food arrived and what was on the plate tasted ok (wellington clearly microwaved) but it was significantly smaller than other roasts being served ( 2 tiny roast potatoes/ 1/2 a carrot and no Yorkshire pudding etc) no mention from waiting staff as to why this was or justification for missing food. Can only assume the use of the voucher meant the portions were reduced. What we were served was barely worth what we paid, let alone the full price. I would avoid if using a fork offer and perhaps wait for the better chef to be working… Most disappointing meal we’ve had through the fork.

The service was incredibly slow. Despite the fact we requested to place the food order right as we arrived as we had limited time, it was only taken after the drinks were delivered, about 30 minutes after our arrival. Further 20 minutes passed and we were told that one of the mains we have ordered cannot be made, so it was substituted. All in all, the food arrived 1hr after we arrived, food was unremarkable. Not recommended - especially if you are short on time.

Decent food and fantastic deal with the Fork Festival. Food took a long time to come out (pub is tiny so I suspect kitchen is equally tiny and can only deal with one order at a time), but we weren't in a hurry. Had to chase a starter and get the bill reprinted as they didn't initially apply the Fork discount. Friendly staff.

A great meal in the early evening in a cosy setting with friendly and efficient staff. The mixed sharing board was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their main meal and the sticky toffee pudding was a stand out dessert. Well worth a visit!

The beef bourguignon was delicious, the chicken burger was a little overcooked but overall was tasty. Sticky toffee pudding was superb. The staff were friendly and efficient. Lovely ambience, all in all a great meal. Will be back 👍

A quaint pub that is a stone throw away from the main Bath shopping area and well worth the detour. The service is excellent and the landlord is so friendly and helpful. The food is delicious and a good selection of local ales. We’ll be going to this pub again next time we visit Bath.

What a lovely find in Bath. We started with a mixed plate of charcuterie and cheeses. This also came with figs, grapes, Olive Bread, Olives and two chutneys. It was a superb starter for us to share. I then Chose the Chicken and Korev Pie, this was lovely, a nice full moist pie with a light creamy sauce. It was served with Mashed Potatoes, gravy,Carrots and Kale all Of which were lovely. The other meal chosen was a burger (from a local butcher) this was really lovely and came in a bun, it was served with super lovely chips! My Husband had an IPA to drink which he really enjoyed. The pub has music in at a good level, we received great service and would thoroughly recommend if you are in or visiting Bath.
