This restaurant was very average with no points rated as outstanding. The service was indifferent and non too fast considering that we were the only party in the restaurant at that time of day. Food quality was fine if a little ordinary and we were left unpressured to sit and talk for the afternoon. Value for money wasn't at all bad at around £27.00 per head including a drink a piece. Make sure you check your vehicle registration in at reception as the car park is agency managed.

An experience not to be repeated. We were only given one limited expensive menu, on which one dish was unavailable. When our main course arrived, it did not have the listed accompaniment and when requesting this we were told by a very abrupt waitress that we could have ketchup or mayonnaise instead.. Later when we requested a dessert we were offered a second menu offering many options for starters, main courses and desserts.

The staff are lovely and friendly. The food is satisfactory. Young staff really do their best but it is obvious they do not have the training required for a 4 star hotel restaurant. Knowledge was limited. Dinner options in the restaurant are limited and two items on the menu were unavailable on both nights.

Restaurant was closed so had to eat in the bar, which was OK, but not fantastic. Ordered the Katso burger, which is just a breaded chicken fillet and some mustard majo, tasted OK but the chips were cold, which they did replace quickly. Experience was OK, but when you book to eat in the restaurant and it isnt available, the hotel should inform you.

Very over priced and limited choice. We’re led to believe that we had a meal included in our package - told we had £28 but main course alone was up to £26 . Then of the limited choice , they substituted both the pasta filling and the salad contents. Wine glass smeared with finger prints and cutlery that would be expected in a canteen - but they were charging ‘ fine dining ‘ prices - never again

Booked a table at 6:00 as there was nothing else available otherwise until 9:00. Imagine our surprise when we arrived to find only one other table occupied. There was no music and given we were the only two tables seated for our first our first hour it was a little two quiet - needed a little more atmosphere. Restaurant was very smart and clean, young waiting staff very polite and keen to please. We were checked on regularly during our meal. Reasonable number of choices available. Starter of focaccia excellent. Burger mains good and large though beef burger was over cooked on the outside and under on the inside - flavour was nice. Chocolate tart and sticky toffee pudding both good. Chocolate tart appeared without ice cream despite being listed on the menu but when relayed this to staff this was bought out very quickly. Wine list extensive and good value. Overall a decent meal with lovely staff - just needed more atmosphere.

The service ar the restaurant started off ok, but instead of taking our order of dessert we waited in excess of 20 minutes before deciding not to bother and left.( Paid for beforehand) Manager arranged for dessert to be delivered to our room. Eat this 40 minute later than we wanted. But at least we got it eventually Shame as experience should and could have been better

Worse than yesterday.!!!Waited an hour for our starter. Main course was apalling and DANGEROUS. The prawns on my wife’s fish pie were not cooked and had to be returned. The only alternative offered was a fish finger sandwich, with cheap fish fingers, FOR DINNER!!! The mange tou on both of our plates were inedible and most of my pork belly was uneaten because it was too tough. We received our pudding TWO HOURS AFTER SITTING DOWN. We were not told before our arrival that the restaurant was closed and that it was only a limited bar menu on offer in a small meeting room,with much of that unavailable. Both dinners have been dreadful THIS IS NOT WHAT WE PAID FOR I hope someone will contact me if these two reviews are to be at all meaningful

Restaurant not open and used a small meeting room with no ambiance Restaurant closed and we were in a small meeting room with no ambience. Very limited menu Food very slow to arrive though we were the only ones in there Wine slow to arrive and was warm and undrinkable Staff , especially manager, very obliging .
