The food was outstanding. We both had the beetroot smoked salmon with whipped goats cheese and Bloody Mary pannacotta. It was gorgeous. The salmon was perfect and it was a truly wonderful starter dish. I then had the beef and ale pie with treacle onions, chips, veg and red wine gravy. Again this was perfect. I am not a pie and meat kind of person but this could convert me. My husband had the lamb with Yorkshire pudding and veg and new potatoes. He said it was the best and most tender lamb he had ever had. We were too full for pudding although I had my eye on the orange and almond sponge and my husband fancied the sticky toffee pudding with clotted cream ice cream. Outstanding value for an incredible meal. Two pints of Guinness and a lime and soda rounded off the evening and the total bill came to £65. The Hand is a real treat and a little Welsh secret that’s perfect in every way.

set in a magnificent area and a lovely little village, the pub is very much in keeping with the area, the bar had a few locals in there and the restaurant was smart and welcoming, food was very tasty and very satisfying

Our last night here of a 3 night stay. Being Sunday the roast beef dinner was excellent, the beef done to perfection, giant Yorkshire pudding too. The house wines are by the glass / bottle and of good quality. I saved the label to try and source it myself. This place is a great find indeed.

The restaurant has a lovely ambience. The food is prepared and served to a high standard and beautifully presented to the diner. The staff are very helpful and friendly, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend The Hand at Llanarmon.

We visited the Hand for my birthday lunch. This is our first time and it was well worth the drive through stunning countryside. The food was the best we've had in a while. Beautifully cooked and presented. We had the roast option for our main course. Everything was hot and tasty. We will be back again soon and would highly recommend

The best Sunday lunch we have had for years. Food excellent, service excellent, very good choice on the menu, with very high quality of ingredients. Lovely dining room and plenty of parking.will definitely recommend and be back.

Great food in a cosy Welsh pub. Not easy to get to on single track roads but well worth it. I loved the Chicken and Ham pie and my partner had Welsh Lamb rump which was excellent. Highly recommended.

Had lunch with friends and it was a lovely meal, it was beautifully presented with great service, and very reasonably priced. The 1000 year old yew trees in the church yard are also worth seeing.
