The staff were very helpful and friendly, the food was very good minor criticism that the gravy was a little over seasoned / salty for my taste but I find things salty quite easily. It was a nice quiet place to enjoy each others company and the food.

My wife and I dined on a (wet) Tuesday evening; even so, the restaurant was quite busy. The food was very good, as was the ambience. We were served by Will who was excellent, although he could have done with more help as he was very busy. We will certainly go again.

Nice, quiet atmosphere. Nice, smart decor. The Valentines menu had a great choice. Started with complimentary bubbly. Shared starter tasty. Unfortunately, one main was over done and dry accompanied by linguine in a watery tomato sauce. But this was corrected quickly and replaced with now problem. Second main was great. Staff were welcoming and professional and adjusted the bill to reflect the mistake.

This was our 3rd Visit for Sunday Lunch, the service was friendly, the roast beef was really tender and tasty, average size portions, cauliflower cheese was lovely this time, previously it was undercooked and not cheesy at all, would definitely return again, lovely atmosphere.

Booked online with Bookatable, easy process and confirmed swiftly. On arrival we mistakenly waited at the check in counter, not realising at the time the venue was a hotel also! We were directed to the dining area where we were seated quickly by courteous friendly staff. Both ordered the beef Sunday roast which was lovely and good portion size accompanied by cauliflower cheese ordered as a side order. Sticky toffee pudding and bourbon ice cream was sublime my friend ordered creme brûlée which was equally tasty. We decided to have coffee near the fire as we found the seating area around the bar relatively colder than the dining area. A most agreeable location to meet a good friend for a catch up over a tasty Sunday lunch.
