8/10Staff were v welcoming- and attentive but not overly so - they had pitched the customer service just right. Good choice of lunch time offers and menus and food was good and nicely presented. A very pleasant leisurely lunch time.

8/10A lovely pub with great food. However, the service, although very friendly, was very slow in coming. We waited twenty minutes before anyone came to our table to see if we wanted a drink. It was fifty minutes before we got our first plate of food. A main course and dessert took over two hours.

9/10This was a family dinner, we all really enjoyed the fire, so we stayed there for our dinner. The food was nice but a little pricey for what it was fish and chips! But the service made up for that. I will be returning for a Christmas lunch with people who don’t mind paying for good service. Thank you

10/10Lovely food and a good choice of menus. Our group all had different menu choices and all were happy with what they ate. The waitress was very helpful, friendly and polite. Ambience was good and the loos were nice and clean. We were a bit nonplussed as to the handwritten suggestion that we pay 10% on top of the bill. A bit of a cheek when we always pay more than that as a tip. We paid around what the suggested amount was which meant the staff would lose out. I suppose some people don’t leave a generous tip? The Hawk is always a lovely place to visit. Our little group has been there many times over the years. We’ll be back!

10/10We couldn’t fault this restaurant Menu varied, good and unusual Food excellent Door greeting staff very friendly and efficient Service and waiting staff outstanding especially Callum who served us Loved the great spacing between tables particularly as we were a table of 2 which are normally situated far too close to the next table. Will def be back

9/10Lovely pub in a beautiful place but food lacked taste.... Rum baba - lacked rum; and fishcakes lacked crab and prawn, potato was the dominant taste. The sirloin steak was, as always, to die for

9/10Lovely restaurant, welcoming and helpful staff, really good ambiance, only one thing I would say is that we found the dirty burger a little salty also the chicken millanese other than that the whole experience was great would go back again

What an interesting menu with great selection. I had the nourish bowl which was delicious. Normally I would never choose something like this but was recommended. So glad I did.

10/10Delicious fillet steak and fish. The staff were fantastic; recommended what to have abs friendly (Lily). Tables well spread out for Covid. We will definitely be back again!

10/10This is our first visit since lockdown has allowed. We used to come fairly regularly. The service was excellent. The tables are less crowded. The food is still as good as previously. Altogether a very pleasant lunch & we will be returning again soon.
