Absolutely brilliant lunch st the horseshoes. Meal was perfect we had the three courses with s bottle of chapel down which was gorgeous x service was brilliant too.

7.5/10Restaurant is well laid out and decorated with a number of different areas so it feels more intimate than it's overall size may suggest. The main meals were excellent. Creme brule wasn't chocolate as described or very firm. Macchiato was a small latte. Service was professionally, polite, well timed just not very personable. The meals I saw on other tables looked good. Overall I would recommend and go again.

8.5/10The Horseshoes was busy for a Wednesday evening, but the 2 waiting staff coped well. We were not kept waiting for our order. The food was well presented and tasty.

9.5/10Great night: visited on Valentines day with my better half and thoroughly enjoyed the food. Really well priced, overall very good. A few minor issues with the little touches like, the peppercorn sauce wasn't really a sauce more of a gravy and the Rosti onions were a bit floury, but the Chateau Briand was fantastic !!! credit to the staff Emily and Polly were lovely and took care of us really well. One other minor complaint was the lighting, I expect it was to make it more romantic, but for me (getting on a bit) I struggled to read the menu ... looking forward to going back on Mothers Day.

7/10Never had a bad meal here but today was a disappointment. Had Roast trio. Beef inedible couldnt chew it, chicken fine, pork belly I think not part of roast. Gravy too salty and vegetable portion too small. Service good.

9/10I used to visit here very frequently as it was our car club venue around 2017. Not been back since due to C19 etc. Went back to the completely refurbished place today. Had a great meal, Polly our server was great, even managing to find a safety pin for my wife's dress after a slight wardrobe malfunction. It was our 25th Wedding anniversary & the dessert came out on a very large plate with "Happy Anniversary" written in chocolate on it which was a nice touch. Wife (it was a complete surprise for her) was very impressed. All in all a great evening.

10/10We had an excellent lunch. We chose the Horseshoes because of their varied menu and our varied party (4 omnivore adults, 1 vegan adult and 3 children of varying ages. The Horsehoes caters for all of these really well. In addition there's a great garden where the kids could let off steam.
