9/10We both chose a special item - the aubergine lasagne. It was really very good. We've been coming to the Maybury on and off for nearly 20 years - and it's been up and down. The beers have usually been lager, lager or lager - and the food has seldom been something special. However ... something seems to have changed for the better. They were serving Timothy Taylor Landlord - which was bright, clear and flavoursome. The Italian house white was also very good. It's hard to believe how much better this pub has become.

8/10Great welcome and well looked after. Good quality offering for both food and drink. Could do with a few lighter mains

7.5/10We tried out the new "experience" offer - 3-course meal for two plus a good bottle of wine for £100. It was well worth it. The food was good and so was the wine. Service seemed a bit stressed although it wasn't particularly full. Will go back again.

7.5/10I think the Maybury Inn sees itself as a gastropub - but, although the food is generally good, the pub aspects leave a lot to be desired. Our table of four had different main courses and all were good. Three starters were fine but one, involving mushrooms, had a poor texture - maybe a personal preference. The drinks service was odd. The wine was ok and the lager was fine - but I also ordered their "special" beer and was served a pint of the usual Tribute. I went to the bar and asked if there had been a mistake. The barman said he didn't know as he hadn't poured it - which might be ok if the beers weren't visually quite distinctive. This became clear when I asked them to pour both again. The end result was fine as I got the beer I wanted - but wouldn't you expect the barman to know what he was selling? That's why I think the pub part doesn't match the level of food. The table service from our Ukrainian waitress was very good. All in all, a reasonable evening out with one or two niggles rather than complete show-stoppers. However, the music was thumping disco which might fit a fast-food joint but not somewhere with restaurant pretensions. Maybe something more soothing would improve the ambiance.

9/10A great pub for a relaxed lunch. Of particular note are the staff who genuinely want their patrons to enjoy themselves and depart with fond memories.

9/10My Granddaughter recommended us to vist Maybury Inn, Woking after a group booking that she had attended. A little expensive, but well worth it. She was completely correct. The Food was brillant, so tasty and hot on delivery. The service was just right, not to intrusive, it could have been a little warmer in the restaurant, but it was not an issue. This was a treat for my husband, it was his birthday. We will book again.

9/10Service was great, main courses and desserts were good too. The bread and olive starter was meagre and quality of the olives terrible - but this didn’t detract too much from an otherwise excellent meal. Staff were attentive and prompt, food was cooked to our preferences. Ambience was great; not too dark and not too bright, quiet enough for comfortable conversation.
