10/10Food was great. The place is decked out like the hunting lodge with a Moderna twist that the food offers. It’s great and right next to the theatre.

7.5/10Not for vegetarians! I don’t think I quite realised that this is full on a meat& game. I suppose the name was the clue but I definitely would not recommend it for vegetarians. I did manage to eat something vegetarian which but I could obviously smell the meat and see the meat and read the menu.

6.5/10The food is ok here, but I find it over salted in places. The service we recievedo was not good. The main courses came in good time, but it took an age for the waitress to order the desserts then after 40 mins after the desserts hadn't arrived yet asked and she came back with the response " it takes time to cook puddings' no apology . When we complained, she went away then came back with the bill and just pushed it over the table to us, again no apologies or explanations. We had to ask the manager if anything had been amended on the bill, and a round of drinks had been taken off. The manager apologised but the waitress didn't care too give any level of customer service. For somewhere so expensive the service really let it down.

9.5/10As always the best restaurant next to the Barbican. Great venison. I loved the hare. Nice staff, the service was a bit slow but the main room is so nice you don’t mind waiting!

10/10We went today for a business lunch with group of 15 and it is exceeded our expectations. The service was impeccable. The food was absolutely delicious, with creative twist on Christmas dishes. The prices were more than reasonable for the exceptional quality of each dish and service we received. For a business lunch it struck the perfect balance of sophistication and value. Highly recommend Jugged Hare, we will definitely be back!

4.5/10This was quite disappointing. The food was, at best, average. The wine list is very disappointing: a heavy presence of English white wines, overall dominated by cheaper French wines at an extortionate markup. The few Italian selections were poor choices and astonishingly overpriced - one 2013 Barolo priced at £480 per bottle. The service was the slowest I’ve experienced in years.

6.5/10We had a very enjoyable birthday outing here, and everything was delicious, but I had a sudden attack of diarrhoea in the middle of the night which I attributed to the venison. It was investigated and my complaint was not upheld, on the grounds that it could have been caused by something else, which disappointed me. I rarely have stomach upsets and usually it's pretty clear what caused it. So my advice would be to avoid the venison if you are at all liable to such upsets.

6.5/10Disappointing meal. Quite a few of the choices weren't available and had cod collar instead of cod fillet which was uninviting, tasteless and barely warm. Friend's venison was undercooked and tough. Was changed but still tough. Starter good. Wine good though no choice on the less expensive bottles of wine.

10/10What an incredible experience at this place! My mother and I had the pleasure of indulging in their renowned Sunday Roast. The ambiance was delightful, and the staff was incredibly welcoming, adding to the warmth of our meal. From the succulent meat to the fresh vegetables and crispy roast potatoes, every bite was a symphony of traditional flavors. The dessert, a delightful pudding, was the perfect finale to our meal. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking authenticity and delightful flavors in a cozy, familial setting.

4/10Service confused, Food average and expensive - £35 for a lobster pie that was mainly mashed potato. Waitress took half finished plate away without bothering to ask if everything had been ok.

6/10Service was very disappointing. Staff were inattentive which does not match the high price tag. Menu was interesting. Lovely venue but I wouldn’t go back.
