9/10The service and food were both good. I had asked for a quiet table if possible as my wife suffers from dementia and they seated us in a little alcove which was ideal. Overall very impressed with the Kings Head .

6/10Initially given incorrect menu to choose from; only two roasts on offer. pork over cooked and quite tough; roast potatoes also tough, almost as they were left overs that had been reheated!

7.5/10Service was very slow. We were there over 30mins before our food order was taken and then a very long wait. We had mini deserts and coffee and the coffee came 15mins before the deserts. We were in the restaurant over 2 and a half hours.

6.5/10Ordered the child’s pizza which came cut in half, so only half of pizza which was not like this on our last visit. Pie of the day, mediocre, pastry a tad crispy. Staff very pleasant

9/10Had fish and chips. Very reasonably priced, and served hot. I would have given top marks, but the chips were frozen, the fish was a little overcooked, the peas were a bit watery and the tartare sauce had a tapioca consistency. Having said all that, it was a decent meal, served by a very friendly waiter, and the restaurant is nice and character full. I would order it again, and would recommend it.

10/10We arrived early but we’re shown straight to our table. Set=ice was excellent without being overpowering. The food arrived promptly and was well cooked and presented. Every member of staff we encountered was welcoming and pleasant as well as knowledgeable.

5.5/10We enjoyed the starter and main meal of salmon and sea bass. Although a very small pot of fries about 8 fries with a lot of crumbs at the bottom were cold and v expensive at £3.50. The table alongside us was left with dirty dishes etc for almost all the time we were there. The sd for the restaurant said vegetarian friendly. But there were no veg dishes. Disappointing. We were looking for a venue for 10 people but we will not use this establishment.

We had lunch with 85 year old mum Waitress lovely friendly amd attentive Food arrived hot presented well and was delicious Our only negative was the peach tatin was a but soggy not crisp underneath as it should be We have eaten here many times and never disappoints...good value ...great venue
