My adult son and I went as a treat to ourselves. I enjoyed my pork very much, however, my son was disappointed with his burger. I too thought it was a little on the mean side! For the price I would have expected larger and I definitely would not expect you to use that ghastly cheese which comes in slices between cellophane!! As a result it was very messy and does not taste authentic! For such a nice Pub/restaurant I'm abit surprised that you would cut corners..

Eaten here a few times recently and enjoyed it. Service is attentive without being over the top and the standard of food is good. The 'background' music could, at times, do with being a bit more in the background. As we age to much background noise can make it hard to hear!

Service was very slow, we had a starter and a main it took 1 and half hours and in that time we was only asked if we want drinks once and that was only when we sat down.

Have been going to the kingfishers for years and this is the first time I was disappointed. No salmon on menu so had sea bass which was not good value at all.

Excellent service on what was clearly a busy night with Christmas dinners. Food was well cooked although the chips served were a little over done. The waitress was really helpful when dealing with my wife’s coeliac disease, although there were quite a few limitations on what she could order. Something we get used to unless we eat at venues where all the food is cooked in house. A pity really given that roughly 1 in 10 have the disease. All that being said we would happily eat here again.

The staff at the Kingfisher were very welcoming and friendly. Molly, who was our waitress, was very thorough in checking my food sensitivities. My husband and I very much enjoyed our first dinner at the Kingfisher and hope to return before long.

I found the restaurant floor dirty. Under the table we were sat there was dirty napkins on the floor. Also bits of blue paper everywhere. We were sat near the window which was nice but a back door was open and it was quite draughty as the evening Beckett coolers All the guests weee sat in close proximity of each other and some guests were loud so it made it quite difficult to have conversations on our table.. One of my party was an elderly lady in her eighties so all the above spoilt her evening out

A really enjoyable meal out. It’s only down fall was the chicken pie. There was far too much thick pastry and very little filling. The other meal , starters , drinks and service were at kingfishers usual high standard.

This restaurant is great for vegans as it has a dedicated vegan menu, and the vegan food is good, it’s nice to have more than just a vegan burger on offer! Others in my party had pizzas which apparently were ‘ok’ but nothing special and a little dry

Excellent service from lovely staff, thank you. Our meals were absolutely gorgeous and we all cleared our plates which was a winner as the portions are a perfect size on the Al A Carte menu we chose from. One tiny negative was that I was cold even sitting away from the doors in the restaurant & with my back towards the mirrored background but in saying that if I took a wrap or shawl with me it wouldn't have been a problem. I didn't mention it to a staff member as it could just be me but on leaving I saw a table of ladies wearing their coats. Please don't let this put you off as it is a fantastic place & we go there often but just bring a shawl if the weather is cold (1 degree when we left @ 8.15pm). We will be straight back there after Christmas x

It's a shame that with the upgrade of the restaurant that the food is not good. The presentation, quality and quantity was very poor, especially at the price charged. I had camembert which was overcooked and the prawn and salmon which was tiny in the bottom of a small pot. The salad was not appetising and served in a teacup size pot. Not well presented at all. This appeared to be the only gluten free choice on the menu.

Food was good. Service adequate took ages to get one drink then tried to give me another one. Letting customers use a fire exit so letting in cold air not good should be alarmed.

Haven’t eaten there for a few years but central to meet friends. Had been refurbished, very tastefully done. . Staff lovely, food good but a little expensive compared to pubs locally. Pizza was great , fish and chips looked amazing and fishcakes looked delicious too. Recommend the Chocolate brownie
